Impressions:
Zero no Tsukaima: Futatski no Kishi (Zero’s Familiar: Knight of the Two Moons), continues straight off from where the last season finished. Louise is still a tsundere who treats Saito like an animal, while Saito is also still his usual perverse self. In fact, these two aspects seem to have been inhanced, since Saito now seems to have perverted thoughts about any girl he sees except for Louise, and because of this, Louise gets ever more frustrated and jealous. This is all emphasised by the glasses which flash whenever Saito is thinking something dirty, as well as Louise’s whip/wand which can now cause a lot of blood loss and a deformed face xD.

However, despite all this, their relationship does seem to have improved quite a lot. Louise now lets Saito sleep with her in her bed, and even cries in Saito’s embrace when he gets captured for false accusations as an assassin. And is it just me or is Henrietta cuter now too? I can’t remember which girl I rooted for in the last season, but now it’s definitely Henrietta. Even so, a relationship between her and Saito is probably impossible, since everything is leading to a Saito and Louise pairing (well duh). Speaking of couples…it seems that the Prince of Wales is still alive, and he kidnaps the princess in the first episode? Now this is nice pacing!

The OP certainly emphasises the relationship between Louise and Saito a lot (they actually manage to kiss this time). A lot of time is spent on portraying in an ‘opposites attract’ manner, which is similar to something like the first Bleach OP. The ED isn’t that great, though as the last ED was horrible in my opinion, I have no complaints for this new one. All in all, while Zero no Tsukaima isn’t one of my favourites, it’s still an enjoyable show, something which I will definitely blog (since I already did the first season). Hmm, I wonder if there will be a third season, since it’s unlikely this season will cover the remaining story from the novel…right?

Why did you only gave this episode a 7.2/10? I think it should be better than this. I mean you gave a Bleach filler episode 132 which was about football (aka soccer) an 8/10 and despite Zero no is not a filler and is based on the original novel.
shh227: The ratings are just what he thought of the shows, you don’t actually have to take his or anyone elses word on how good a show is, that’s something your supposed to figure out for yourself.
XDDDDDDDD
Wow, I feel sorry for you Danny, all this time and your STILL getting attacked over your ratings.
As for the Zero anime, the first season wasn’t suprising at all, and Louise just doesn’t have a figure at all, absolutley none. Siesta is the one who should have won, landslide win with a great figure and she’s a maid to boot. Not to mention her family tree is from earth.
I’ll probably end up watching this show, since most of my friends actually really like the first season. And I have to admit I want to see what all they do, if anything, with the fact that Louise is a Void Mage.
I think this episode is by far funnier than any epiosodes from the last season.
Sorry about this I don’t usually complain. I am a fan of both Bleach and Zero no tsukaima. I just thought that this first episode Zero no tsukaima was better than the latest Bleach episode thats all. I seriously can’t wait for Bleach’s “mini” filler to end.
shh227: yeah, I liked Bleach 132 more than this episode so…^^;;
Bluestreak2: Lol it’s sad I know xD And I guess with Louise not having any sex appeal, a relationship that doesn’t work but somehow does is created…
kenshin514: yea me too, but I didn’t really find any of the last season funny enough to be comedy-funny.
It seems that Saito is a bit more perverted than that last season (perhaps Louise isn’t enough for him? ^^;). He even looked at Tabitha pervertedly which I was kind of surprised at.
I don’t remember what the ED was like for the first season but, I actually like the ED for the 2nd season as well.
“Now this is nice pacing!”
It kinda has to be since it’s only going to be 12 episodes long (according to ANN).
I think Saito needs to think of long-term investments, and looking at Louise’s sisters’ dimensions and Louise’s own late-blooming talents as a mage, Louise has great growth potential.
Nice episode overall! Very funny and easy going, and I must say that the last scene was particularly hilarious (S&M to the max hahaha).
I find that the light novel is much better in terms of character development, though. I’m afraid that a 12 episode season won’t be enough to represent all the material that is in the novels, even is they only cover until the volume 7 (out of a total of 11 volumes).
