Whoa 50k Visits!
Hey, I’ve reached 50k visits! Never thought that’d happen when I started blogging on MSN Spaces (at that time, I only got about 10 visitors a day!) lol let’s see how long it would’ve taken to get to 50k if it remained as 10 visits a day, shall we?
50,000 / 10 = 5,000
5,000 days = 167 months
167 months = 14 years
That’s 14 years!! Well, MSN Spaces are crap anyway. The only reason I used it was because it could accommodate my desired width of my contents. Anyway, after finding Maestro4k (mid-July was it?), I was finally able to start blogging with a real readership!
Well, as you may or may not already know, I have exams coming up (next week), but they aren’t THAT important. Which means you have a better idea of how old I am, though I still won’t tell you. Don’t ask why. I might be a 6 year old prodigy in English, or I might be a 110 year old living the last days of his life writing about something he’s passionate…Anyway, how bout some stats?
Some of this is on the side bar…
Total visits: 50,000+
Total comments: 500+
Total posts: 180+
Total spam -__-: 900+
70+ links from 30+ sites
Average visits/day in…
2nd half of August: approx. 175
1st half of September: approx. 200
2nd half of September: approx. 300
1st half of October: approx. 450
2nd half of October: approx. 500
Well, things have slowed down and I think the average will stay at 500 for a while, maybe wavering a bit from 400 – 600 (you never know!)
I also managed to persuade some friends to start blogging (at Snowflake in Spring – link in sidebar), but they’re all busily studying for the exams, like I should be doing (actually no, knowing them, they’re most likely slacking off and doing nothing these days…)
Top referrers (of October):
Google
AB Antenna
Anime Nano
AB Home Page
StumbleUpon
Yahoo
About 60% of all my hits are from search engines (namely Google) and the rest from various sites, aggregators and blogs.
Most visits by countries:
USA – 37%
Canada – 8%
Australia – 8% (these are probably my own page reloads…)
Singapore – 6%
Japan – 5% (cool!)
UK – 4%
And the rest…
By continents:
N. America – 47%
Asia – 22%
Europe – 19% (huh…Europe gets 19% but the UK only gets 4%?)
Oceania – 9%
S. America – 3%
Africa – 0.5%
Unknown – 0.05%
Internet browsers:
Firefox 1.5 – 45%
Internet Explorer 6 – 38%
Firefox 1 – 5%
Firefox 2 – 3%
Opera 9 – 2%
Mozilla 1 – 2%
Safari – 2%
Internet Explorer – 1.5%
And the rest…
It’s great to see that most of you are Firefox users, but there are still far too many IE users! Novastorm looks like shit in Internet Explorer! Also, it’s good to see that Firefox 2 is already beating IE7. If we combine all the %s into three categories like this…
Mozilla core – 53%
Microsoft core – 40%
Other – 7%
Anyway, get FIREFOX people! Firefox 2 will take over soon enough. There’s also the experimental Firefox 3, called Minefield. I don’t recommend that though. Far too buggy.
Well, enough stats, I should get back to the entry I started. Maybe I’ll do something like this again when I hit 100k hits! Till then…

Firefox is slowly winning against Internet Explorer, that’s a good thing to know. Does that mean the average anime watcher knows what’s good for him/her ?
I guess so. I had been thinking about putting up a poll about which browser people use, but that was some time before I got the tracker.
wahahaha, i should do such an entry too ^+^
Still a bit long before i hit 50k
hehe, I dont even know where to find this sort of statistical info in WP. I guess use php?
cool info though.
see the link at the bottom of my sidebar? it says addfreestats. the other one is extreme tracking, both of which i use to get those stats
