True Tears: Episode 13 (END)

Impressions:
I’ve never been a fan of endings, as I’m usually left wanting more. But strangely, True Tears does such a nice job of wrapping things up, that I don’t really feel like watching any more anyway. Everything feels complete (except for how I was hoping Noe would finally cry in the end). All in all, a great romance/harem series, and a great ending as well. The story, music, pacing, and especially the quality, are all exceptionally high. And you can always argue about whether the characters are well-picked or not, but in the sense that they make the show interesting, I will have to say the writers came up with a pretty nice cast.
Honestly, I’m surprised Shin ended up with Hiromi, BUT only because by the standards set by anime, if someone is occupying a guy’s heart for two episodes before the finale, then usually, the guy will stick with that person. Thankfully, True Tears doesn’t really follow the conventions of anime, but rather, the conventions of life, which dictate that, you can be really thankful and close to a person you don’t necessarily have any romantic feelings for. In this case, Shin shows that it IS possible that in an anime, a guy can have a normal relationship with more than one girl. In the end, he declares his love for Hiromi, but there’s no problem in being grateful for Noe, is there?
In the end, I was quite content with the final developments of all the characters, so it didn’t really matter to me who Shin ended up with. Noe becomes rather normal, and Hiromi throws away her momentary bitchiness which is obvious in the previous episode. It’s also nice to see how Aiko’s relationship with Nobuse has improved drastically, now that they’re just ‘friends’. If anything, I would really love to see an aftermath episode, something that would depict the lives of Shin and Hiromi as a couple, or how things end up with Ai and Nobuse (it would be good if they ended up together). But that’s not anything to complain about. If you like romance, True Tears is a must-see.

True Tears is a really, very good romance show!!! I’m kind of sad that it’s over but it did have an ending that really satisfies me. I agree with the description above…true tears really relate to life and has a very happy ending.=)

Despite how much I was hoping for a Noe ending, Hiromi ending suits well.
@ Danny
Wasn’t Noe crying in the credits? They didn’t show her face but some tears floating around.
Somehow i got the feeling Noe was the main-girl, even if she didn’t get together with Shin. At the beginning she was a lonesome and sad girl but through the anime she was able to meet new friends and even got her tears back.
In the end, Noe was left alone while all of the other girls have their own boyfriend?! BAWWWWWWWWWWWWW
I’ll say that in most successful romance stories, the characters do not end up together (esp. classic film). In this case it is Noe and Shin, but it isn’t a bad thing, and yea it’s pretty realistic. Shin and Hiromi were basically “together” before and throughout the series, since that was what was in their hearts.
Noe and Shin could have been anything they wanted to be, but their relationship is probably more complex and beautiful than that of simple lovers. In the end, Shin served his purpose, and Noe will always be special. Personally, I think this ending has more colour, even if it is life-like.
When Noe wasn’t chosen. I felt a bit empty..
I’d also like to see an aftermath episode, but more likely concerning Hirmo and Shin, and how they are together. Some sort of happy comedy
The way the writers handled the ending was very well done. Yes, Shin can have a relationship with both girls but he knows that he can only pick one (something Shakugan no Shana has a hard time doing, apparently). Look at how Shin cried over having to let go of Noe and telling her how much he still cares about her. Look at how Shin has matured over the past episodes to get to Hiromi.
The ending with Hiromi was expected on my part. Shin does see Noe as a very special person - which is why he was able to draw the picture book - but perhaps not in the romantic way. It’s unfortunate that Noe saw her love left unanswered kind of but since she did cry in the end, the title lived up to its name. I guess in a sense, True Tears had a bittersweet ending since there could have been two endings.
I rate this series a 9/10, like Danny. I haven’t seen a good romance/drama/harem since who knows when and True Tears did it with style. Definitely recommended to anyone who hasn’t seen this.
there is still 1 thing i want 2 know about and that is what shinshiro`s father is working. do someoe know this?
I’m kind of sad that Shin didn’t end up with Noe, but perhaps it truly was for the best.
I would have loved to see Noe and Shin together, but that probably wouldn’t have left as much of a sweet feeling at the end.
Seeing Noe’s tears at the end of the episode, helped me realize that. Seeing the other two characters cry as well, also helped me realize that.
At least this way, Both Noe and Shinichiro will have a special place in their hearts for each other. Who knows, maybe someday they might get together again, but I doubt it.
It was nice to see Nobuse and Aiko getting along so well, too.
I kinda feel sorry for Jun, though. He can’t ever have Noe, no matter how much he loves her.
It was also kind of cruel to me, that the last thing in the series that was shown was Noe looking at the words Shinichiro had put down in the dirt so long ago.
But at least, now, she can perhaps spread her wings and fly…
Shin’ichiro’s father is brewing sake.

Ah I love the ending XD finally a coupling I like works out. Too bad for Noe tho.. left with the creeper brother ;_;…

“ah well, did anybody else burst out with laughter at Shin’s singing LOL”
ahem, it was just pathetique seeing him singing, I wasn’t able to laugh :S sorry. I really felt embarrased, tehe.
Noe did cry o_o end of the credits
Also, I laughed when Shin had his solo part ~.~
I laughed and felt bad at his singing T.T
Noe did cry in the end. After that long ending, she does cry.
True tears is a fine one. But somehow I couldn’t get into the story as much as I could with Ef a tale of memories. Considering the ending, I think Ef have had a stronger one.
After the ending I found myself thinking about the reason for Aiko to ever exist in this series. ~_~ I think that one is a miss, they didn’t really make Aiko as important as she seemed to be.
But overall this was one of the better ones in this season. It wasn’t a waste of time at all. =)
This was a good anime, and about the wrap up on Aiko-Nobuse and Shin-Hiromi, they should come up with an anime movie to do this…. who knows, maybe they are already in the process of doing so…
Noe did cry at the end, as shown by the tears floating towards the sky at the end credits. Or was I just seeing things ?
She cries, and her tears *fly*. Makes sense, doesn’t it?
