Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Episode 12

Rating: 9.6/10
Impressions:
Ok for those of you who still don’t know, Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho ends at episode 14. However, not too sure about this, but it seems there will be more arcs to come in the form of sequels. Surely the show can’t just end at episode 14, where still nothing is resolved (well, nothing in terms of what is introduced in the upcoming episodes). I’m somewhat glad that this show is ending soon (for the subs I mean), since then I will have one less anime I have to keep up with, which I find very hard to do. I still haven’t caught up with everything after coming back from Japan. Once I do, posts should become longer and there should be more screencaps as well.
This episode essentially sets everything up for the next episode, which is full of action. Even with subs, I really have no idea what’s going on through the flashbacks. They make no sense at all to me, and the only thing I can assume is that they are quite tragic pasts for Kodzune and his connection with Hiyuu. The episode is still very enjoyable though. It’s mainly the fast pace and fantastic use of music to complement the high quality. I said above that I’d be relieved with the ending of this show for relief of workload, but honestly I really don’t want to see this show take a break…it’s too good.

Don’t worry at the end of episode 14, it is clearly said that the next arc is in the work. And I think you won’t have to wait too long to see it (tho I can’t remember when it’s supposed to arrive). However I’m not sure that I’ll watch it as I found this first arc rather disappointing.
I agree with elvyse, this show was awsome for the first 3-4 episode then I found myself losing interest in it as I kept watching.
after the 3/4 episode you get a bit lost with the story
Meh it wasn’t too hard to follow imo, with subs I didn’t have any problems exect during the first few episodes but I figuered it out in time, not like the Touka Gettan where it’s like WTF IS GOING ON?!
Yep there will be more after ep14

@FlameStrike - I felt exactly the same way with Touka Gettan, after watching the first 2 episodes it became my first dropped show for this season just because of it’s WTF’ness.
Still watching 29 of the new ‘07 spring shows and I already have tagged some of them as “soon to be dropped” as well.
@Danny - Be prepared for the worst video quality on episode 14, look like the raw provider was on crack or something.

loenardo, to say the truth, i finished watching the series when the sub for 14 came out xD. I was too lazy to blog anything though
“Tokyo Majin Manabu Enken Fuujou Ryuu Ryuu Kenbu hen? is airing in july, I think it’s the second season. But I’ll pray that it isn’t like the last epi. Cause then I’ll be yep,…. well can’t keep up with this due to the crappyness of the animation.
omg yes =)
i thought this anime was pretty cool in terms of action. but the story line got a little boring.
it relies too much on historical context and artifacts; and that really brought down my interest.
its the same with Bakumatsu Kikansetsu Irohanihoheto except Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpuchou wasn’t as bad when it came to history.
if the story was more creative this anime would have been awsome.
the other thing i didn’t like is that they skip some scenes without using transitions and it gets a little confusing.
but at least i was able to understand what was happening.
i’d also like to see some romance between aoi and tatsuma in the future, but i doubt they’re going to add romance to this mainly action anime
I loved the show, I thought it was very interesting, and I learned a few things about oriented history and such. But I’m confused about one thing, if the show does continue with a new season, they won’t sub them?
