Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Episode 10

Impressions:
The quality of this episode is quite higher compared to the last few episodes. The faces are all proportionate, and the fighting scenes are nicely animated and fast paced. As always, sound accompaniment is great and greatly excites in all the right times. It seems that Aoi will remain as the focus for some time, as this episode reveals that she possesses a special demonic power called the Eye of Bosatsu. Although I’m not sure what it does, it does mean she is a threat to humans and must be killed…oh shit what? Aoi needs to be killed? Noooo! Well, this will probably be good news for Aoi-haters, though I doubt she’s really gonna die.
So apparently Tatsuma has a girlfriend now? She’s called Sayo I think, and she’s from the crow incident a few episodes ago. I have no idea who she really is and what she has to do with anything, though she has managed to drag Tatsuma away from the rest of the group. She’s actually pretty cute so I don’t really mind, although it doesn’t seem like she has any powers. And if she does, I imagine she’d be an oni or something. It seems like everyone has at least some involvement with the plot, and in order to do so, having a power may be necessary (hmm, I wonder about Toono…nah…)
Anyway, this episode once again revolves around Aoi and her troubles. She’s still feeling depressed over not being able to save the girls life from last episode, and so her general mood is pretty bleak. The gang have their usual meetings here and there, but Tatsuma becomes increasingly absent, while Aoi is just plain sad. It turns out that Tatsuma is actually spending his time with another girl called Sayo from the crow incident, as reported by Toono. Kyouichi thinks she’s his girlfriend, though personally, I think she is or ill turn evil. Maybe I just think that because it would be more interesting that way…
Aoi’s right eye begins hurting, and soon she’s seeing disturbing things, such as people with rotten legs in pictures (hmm, looks like some sort of power is surfacing). Kozunu confronts her and tries to get her to come to his side, but obviously refuses. He leaves, probably knowing that she will inevitably come to him. Kyouichi notices that something is wrong and goes to consult Kisaragi, though he tells him that Aoi has inherited some ghastly power and needs to be killed. Hearing this, Kyouichi becomes furious and the two start fighting. Aoi overhears and runs away, as she believes everything is her fault. She tries to commit suicide, but is saved and retrieved by Kozunu.
With the nice little action sequence between Kyouichi and Kisaragi near the end, as well as the eventful cliff hanger, I am just dying to see the next episode. The fight also proves that Kyouichi is similar in strength compared to Kisaragi, and therefore Kisaragi must be similar to Tatsuma as well. However, it seems like Tatsuma is the main character, so something’s gotta be there to tell him apart from the less important characters. For now though, it seems to be all about Kozunu and Aoi…and not in that way either. Anyway, I’m looking forward to where Aoi goes from here, and if there’s a chance of her turning evil…

Aoi FTW!!! and yeah the new girl is cute as well. i wonder what she is going to do now, as well as Hiyuu
I hope Aoi doesn’t turn bad, if she does only for 2 eps:D. It had become increasing clear that she was going to be a powerful one next to Tatsuma, especially since they’d been going on and on about her being non-fight worthy.
….NO, Aoi can’t die I came to the very sad confession… I grown attatched to her. At first I hated her but now I don’t. In fact I like all of the characters includeing Kozunu (he’s cool, then again I always end up liking the bad guy for some reason.) So any if any of them die I would get upset. But Aoi must be really depressed if she tried to kill herself. As depressed as she is, she might go to Kozunu. That would be interesting. Why does she have a ability that could hurt people, when she’s tring to save them? I think Tatsuma is just with Sayo(?) to protect her from the zombies in the furture. But I like him being with her. I’m just wondering why Kyo defends Aoi so much. I thought he didn’t like her, unless he’s falling for her. In that case I don’t care if she dies cause he belongs to me. xD I hope they devople the others cause it’s starting to feel like Aoi is the main charcter.
Somebody please stop Hiyuu!
Tokki, i believe this is a common trait in anime, where the person who is usually cold to the person he/she likes. but of course, it could be the opposite, though in this case, i think yes indeed Kyouichi likes Aoi
Hmm…I wonder what was with that picture at the end? Sayo’s arm was all, well…dead. Maybe Hiyuu has to be around her for her to stay alive or something? Maybe Toono does have powers…camera…powers…>_> I hope Aoi does turn evil, though there’s little chance of that happening unless she gets possessed… I swear, Aoi probably conned Hiyuu out of his screentime by giving him a year’s supply of strawberry milk…
I was under the impression that Aoi was depressed because she brought Sera (the blond girl) back to life. Cuz like, being able to bring people back from the dead has got to make you feel a little weird on the inside. (You’ll notice her revivification power goes a little haywire when she’s walking toward Kisaragi and Kyouichi, all the fireflies are coming back to life as she walks by).

OMGOSH, they have ALOT of episodees just covering her…well, it’s fine, it’s not like I don’t like her character, but I hope they do sometime in the earlier future cover Tatsuma~! xDD He’s just so mysterious, and maybe Hiyuu too~! I don’t care about Komaki since i think she’s a baby that whines alot and Daigo who just loves Komaki dearly. LoL, Toono cracks me up whenever she says scoop`! And that’s all from me~! xDDD
Isn’t Sayo the same girl from episode 7, when Tatsumi and Kozunu had that flash? They look the same to me.
Man I hope that Aoi turns evil and Kyouichi turns her good again…I see some love between those two. Hiyuu is so cute I just wanna hug him….new girl has got to go..I want Hiyuu with Toono!!!! This show is excellent…these animes are usually the best kind ones to watch. Aoi is such a troubled girl
