Shakugan no Shana II: Episode 5

I’m glad that we got a Wilhelmina-centred episode, as we haven’t seen much of her lately. She’s a pretty awesome character, but IMO, she only really shines in combat. What might change this is a deviation from her constant robotic nature, which might result in some interesting occurrences later on. I can really see her sacrificing herself for Yuuji even, if her character were to change, or at least some extra affection from her. Margery might be getting some extra screen-time next time as well, which the ending seems to suggest. Since Yuuji appears to have fighting potential, it would be interesting to see if Margery’s ‘disciples’ could prove to be useful in the near future.

yea yuuji is showing some power, i cant wait to see it, all they ever do is talk about it and show a 5 second clip of him glowing
The first few episodes have been excruciatingly slow and unimportant. One of the main things that I liked about Shana was the development between Shana and Yuji while he struggled to cope with the idea of the Flame Haze world. Shana two basicly throws out all that and makes it a harem comedy with a male lead as slow as ever. First, Shana x Yuji development regresses, Yuji forgets (didn’t hear) the confession and Shana goes emo sulking with Yoshida. I really dislike characters just sulking emo like and not DOING something about there situtaion, I mean while Shana and Yoshida are sulking not-heacate moe blob is scoreing with Yuji. Don’t they realize that? And allowing not-heacate moe blob to live was pretty stupid too. The mentalaty they adopted in tying to find out if she’s evil or not was wrong. They should be smart enough to know Bell-masque isn’t stupid enough to send Heacte out infront of her enemies out of the blue like that without a sure fire plan, and they should assume that not-hecate won’t show signs of being a tomogara or whatever. Meh, at least it’s starting to pick up a litttle bit later.
lol flamestrike, you seem pretty upset. xD i guess you’re right, but personally I don’t mind seeing stuff like this once in a while
well i love shana, and well, this is indeed turning into a school days type of anime, which I don’t really mind, but the story isn’t getting there, yet. T_T
I agree with Danny. I don’t see a problem in letting the plot develop at a slow pace for a change. Plus, Tanaka & Ogata are so cute in this episode…absolutely adorable *_*
