Shakugan no Shana II: Episode 2

Rating: 8/10

Impressions:

While the villain of the first two episodes ends up being another small-fry, she seems to give Yoshida a chance in the spotlight. This makes me wonder whether she will become important or powerful later on. Before that though, it seems that Yuuji might actually get tgo fight on par with Shana in the future. That would be pretty cool, but personally I just want to see Shana get a massive boost in her skill level. Aside from the action-aspect of the show, the development of the characters and their relationships with each other are coming along nicely. Hopefully, Shana will properly confess to Yuuji sooner or later.

Someone who looks like Hecate appears at the end of the series. I doubt it’s Hecate herself, but her existence will still prove to be significant (hopefully). I can imagine her becoming the root of a large fanbase, getting a lot of innocent people involved in the good vs evil war happening at the moment. Either way, it means Shakugan no Shana isn’t stalling and returning straight to the storyline involving Hecate. There’s also the introduction of the kaikin, which Wilhelmina seems to know something about. Perhaps it will be something Shana gets to use in the future…
