Impressions:

For me, Shakugan no Shana doesn’t have as much impact in an episode as other series (such as ef, Clannad etc), but the driving factor that makes me yearn for more after watching each episode is tremendously strong. It’s what makes me regard it as my 5th favourite show of all time (although, Bleach is slipping away from 3rd, so Shana might move up to 4th). This episode in particular doesn’t have much excitement, but with the explanations and revelations, and knowing that nothing will be dragged out excessively due to an episode count limit, you just know things are going to heat up immensely in the near future.

Wilhelmina explains the Pheles situation to Shana and Yuuji, and contrary to my initial deductions, Silver isn’t related to the former situation. However, Wilhelmina isn’t always right, and it seems she still has untold information. She claims that Yuuji has no way of surviving against Pheles, but makes it seem like she (Wilhelmina) can face her herself. Also, the fact that Yuuji has a silver flame indicates a connection with the Silver that practically destroyed Margery, which might suggest Yuuji holds a shitload of latent power—perhaps enough to overcome Pheles. And another question, how will this and Hecate be intertwined in the future?
