Rebuild of Evangelion

As we all know, there’s going to be four new NGE movies – the first one coming as soon as summer 2007. With this announcement, I’ve decided to write up this guide to Evangelion. That can be found two posts down. It is not complete yet. I will be adding much more stuff such as characters, Angels, Evas and more information on miscellaneous things such as the Instrumentality Project etc. There will also be man more pics of course. Anyway, there’s more info on the new NGE movies. The following is from Anime News Service.

9-6-06 (6:46PM EDT)—- Confirmed: “Evangelion Shin Gekijou Ban” Details
Apparent scans from the October, 2006 issue of the Japanese edition of Newtype Magazine (not officially due out on shelves until this wekeend) have appeared online, backing up almost word for word the information reported below. Images Copyright (c) Kadokawashoten 2006 / (c) GAINAX - Khara / Project Eva The title for the new film series is “Evangelion Shin Gekijou Ban”, it will consist of 4 parts (First volume, Second part, Latter part and Final story) with the first part arriving in Japanese theaters in early summer, 2007. Staff include General Supervisor: Hideaki Anno, Director: Tsurumaki Kazuya , Character Design: Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Mecha Design: Ikuto Yamashita, Animation Production: Khara (Color) Studio. The scenario of the 1st part will be written by Hideaki Anno with storyboard by Shinji Higuchi. Key points of an interview in the magazine with Toshimichi Ohtsuki of King Records have also been circulating. According to that information:
-The content is quite different though the time base of the story is the same as the original TV series.
- It will be a remake, however, it is not a re-creation but a “new work”.
- The approach will be different than what Tomino-san did with the Gundam Z New Translation films, there will apparantly be a large amount of new material.
- Even if the TV series has not be seen, the viewer will be able to enjoy it. Though the content becomes easy, it is not redundant to those already familiar with the series.
- The technique that purposely scatters difficult words and phrases will not be used any longer.
- As an antithesis to current animation industry segments, it is an attitude on the production side to pull the act in the age that started from Eva.
9-8-06 (7:22PM EDT)—- Update: Evangelion Shin Gekijou Ban
A few new details regarding the new Eva project, Evangelion Shin Gekijou Ban from the October, 2006 Japanese edition of Newtype Magazine:
- The cover illustration featuring characters Ayanami Rei Nagisa Kaworu is by Shunji Suzuki. Suzuki had worked on the Shin Seiki Evangelion TV series as chief animator and on the End Of Evangelion movie as an animation director. Although not officially connected by name to the new project as yet, his image appearing on the Newtype cover would suggest involvement.
- Images released so far depict Rei Ayanami in observably more provacative and animated moods than before. How will she change? The silent and submissively naturered character with her trademark blue hair and style made her an all time fan favorite of otaku everywhere, catapulting her to the top of the monthly Animage character poll for many, many issues.
- From Toshimichi Ohtsuki’s interview: Just before this new project started up director Hideaki Anno rewatched the entire original television series back to back. Ohtsuki relays that he heard Anno say for the first time: “Eva is interesting, I did not think it was so interesting (laughing).” The comment almost broght Ohtsuki to tears.
- Ohtsuki goes on to say that it is true Eva has become a smash hit animation. However, it’s success caused misunderstanding and disarray has arisen in the animation field because of it. An overproduction of inferrior works was caused.
- Ohtsuki says the Newtype cover image featuring Rei and Kaworu symbolizes the new movie project. Japanese fans have questioned whether this is a hint at Rei And Kaworu’s possibly being at the center of the new story or getting expanded focus in the course of the story of the films.
9-8-06 (7:43PM EDT)—- New Evengelion Movies: Will Original Voice Cast Be Reprised?
With 4 new animated Evangelion movies now confirmed and in production there has been some questioning regarding the Japanese voice casting. All of the main original members of the TV and Movie cast are still living but some have retired or moved away from voice acting work. Megumi Hayashibara (Rei Ayanami) had retired for a period but then returned to seiyuu work. Likewise, Yuko Miyamura (Asuka Langely Sohryu) is thought to have put some distance between herself and voiceover work. A comment from one of her her last known public appearances can be viewed at her official website at the above link mentioning paid travelling expenses would be a requirement to persue any further vocal work.
9-9-06 (8:55AM EDT)—- Further Evangelion Shin Gekijou Ban Details
With Newtype’s scoop out in Japan this weekend the floodgates of inquiry on the 4 new Evangelion movies have apparently opened wide. While the Newtype information is new to general public, like most print magazines the material was most likely put together several weeks to a month in advance of publication. In that time new things with story have happened and Sankei Shimbun has interesting new information on the project already. First off they mention the original 3 Eva films made 4.5 billion Yen in total at the Japanese boxoffice. The manga published by Kadokawa Shoten has exceeded 15 million copies sold over the existing 10 volumes. Videos and DVD’s sold exceed 4.5 million copies and about 30 billion Yen. Total goods sales exceeds 100 billion Yen. While the overall project is being called “Evangelion Shin Gekijou Ban” as mentioned in Newtype, the individual films are being titled “REBUILD OF EVANGELION”. The First Volume, REBUILD OF EVANGELION:01 is due out in early summer 2007 it will have an estimated running time of 90 minutes. The Second Part, REBUILD OF EVANGELION:02 is expected in January 2008, also with a running time of 90 minutes. The Latter Part + Last Program of the series, REBUILD OF EVANGELION:03-04 are expected in early summer (possibly June) of 2008, they will have an estimated length of 45 minutes each. Additionally, ANS has learned the 3rd part (Latter Part) (which corresponds to the events of the movies and episodes 25 and 26 of the TV series) and the 4th “Last Program” will be mostly new stories and material. Parts 1-3 will use some key animation sequences from the original TV series, with new backgrounds (settings) and music.

[…] On “Rebuild of Evangelion“: I guess it’ll be pretty cool to see Shinji choking chicks and jerking off with the latest in animation technology. - sakesniper, SA forums I hope that the remake has Pen-Pen’s soul stuck into Unit 1. Having a giant robot that thinks it’s a penguin running around Tokyo 3 would add a lot of depth to Eva. - Factor_VIII, SA forums […]
I am a huge fan of the Neon Genesis Evangelion world. Hearing about four new movies coming out is great news to hear. It also sort of makes me worry about the voice casting and the time distance since the series. The English voice actors and actresses in the original series were perfect in everyway in my opinion, but when the directors cut versions came out, some of the characters didn’t even have the same voice actor or actress. Kaworu Nagisa’s voice actor was a huge disappointment in the directors cut; believe me I could tell the difference. So bad I had to mute the television on his lines when he spoke. The voice actors and actresses gotten older and more than likely haven’t been training their voices in these eight years. I do not think that the 4 movies will have the same feeling and soul it had eight years ago either. You shouldn’t finish a series and two movies then all of a sudden pick it back up again after such a long time. But in all I am wrong about all of what I said about the English cast and the feeling and soul of these 4 new movies and hope that everything will be breath taking.
But in all I HOPE am wrong about all of what I said about the English cast and the feeling and soul of these 4 new movies and hope that everything will be breath taking.
Hm….I though the English cast was pretty good, although I didn’t like Asuka’s voice. I still think the Japanese version is better, as I simply think all dubs are inferior by nature. =)
well well well. about time i saw new content on Evangelion. but im far more enthusiastic about the NGE live action film Gainax intends on doing.
I hear you there Danny, dubs are a nono, I really prefer to see the animes or movies on the original voices. It’s going to be great, 4 new movies on Evangelion, yet I do hope it doesn’t throw many of us into confusion as “The End of Evangelion”, so hopefully there will be a better conclusion to this masterpiece of a series.
Yeah i’m really hoping for an epic battle between an eva and an angel in this one. the battles in the tv series were too short, understandably due to a tight budget but i’d really like an amazing 10+ minute battle in one of these movies. I’m pretty sure they’ll have enough $$$ to blow away since it’s become such a popular and lucrative anime.

I’m very happy to her about the new projects in the works for EVA (including the live action). My only concern is that the pycological and philocopical ideas that made the show so unique and interesting will be lost in an attempt to bumb it down for younger viewers. With Anno back at the helm however, this will hopefully not be the case. P.S. Yes, a 10+ min kick-ass battle would be sweet, along with an ending that didn’t all but kill off every character.
Hopefully Rebuild of Evangelion will be as sublime as the TV series (excluding episodes 25 & 26) and the last two movies. And like any true Eva fan, I’m worried that the deep philosophical and psychological theme might be lost in the Rebuild. However, since Hideaki Anno will return, that won’t be a problem. The only problem in my perspective is whether the younger audience will accept this kind of plot and theme. Guess I’ll wait until the reviews come along:)
Im a true fan of Evangelion. I cannot wait to see how this will turn out, I am really looking forward to this, I hope its as good, or even better than the original series. Im glad that Anno will be doing it, i want the story to be just as deep and all that good stuff
Hear hear Arnold!! I’d hate for it to lose it’s sophication just to please the new audience….because the original series and the movie had definite meaning that most viewers were just too lazy to understand for themselves.
I’d hope for it to be as subliome as the original TV series (including 25 and 26 for me lol), and the last two movies.
why the hell do they have to ruin something really great by adding more shit??? it seems like a big trend in japan right now. i thought it was called the end of evangelion for a reason, so just let it go and make something else… something original. i have this feeling that i’m just going to end up hating evangelion because of all this.
Just finished watching the tv series and the two ending movies (plus a load of reading on wikipedia lol), and have to say the Evangelion saga is unquestionably the best piece of anime I have ever seen. To end up feeling so depressed, miserable and mentally drained, yet still thinking about it constantly and wanting more, you know you’ve witnessed something very special indeed. Astounding, awesome, immense, groundbreaking, without competition. That is Eva for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the tv series including the original ending episodes, 25 and 26, which I believe compliment Death & Rebirth, and End of Evangelion very nicely in that both endings essentially reach the same conclusion. I always saw D&B and EoE as a supplement to the original tv series ending, rather than a direct replacement, and as such believe they should be viewed side by side.
The news of 4 more movies is music to my ears, I simply cannot wait. I only hope that through the new movies some of the loose ends from the End of Evangelion are tied up, and a somewhat happier ending to the entire series is presented. Failing that, I’d just like to see Shinju have the balls to say directly to Asuka how much he really likes her ( or vice-versa, and possibly initiate something between them), although thats only because I’m sentimental and biased towards those two characters lol.
Roll on Summer 2007, and let the Rebuild begin…I can’t stop thinking about NGE, its affecting my mood - anyone else like this?!?!
Haha Toozey, yeah I was feeling like that for a month or so after I finished watching the series, but then I sorta gave up on the idea of any form of sequel as it has been so long since when it aired back in 1995. And of course, with the news of the movies, I became ecstatic like everyone else.
Hehe here’s where it begins. Well, I would say the movie endings (End of Evangelion) are direct opposites of the tv ending. The reason is that, in the anime, Shinji overcomes the barrier or AT field between him and everyone else and end up merging with everyone he knows. This is the desired result of the third impact, which is to turn all humans into LCL and reduce them to a single being, which is what happens in the TV ending.
However, in the movies, Shinji and an Asuka/Rei hybrid are left behind when third impact occurs. You can clearly see that those two are left alone on earth while everyone else has merged into that single being. You should also take into account that in the TV, when Shinji merges with everyone, he is happy. I doubt that the Shinji in the movies is very happy at all. Well anyway, this is what I think anyway.
Now …. lets not make stuff up.
Nobody knows what the heck is the 2 final episodes, Gainax run out of money and just made stuff up … should I remind that Shinji rejected merging with EVA 01(after the fight with the 14th angel so Shinji already rejected the whole merging thing once.
In the EoE we are left with Shenji and Asuka near the LCL sea (that is red and really screws up the lighting conditions so some raise the question of Asuka being merged with Rei …. of course the fact Rei is seen for a few second kinda invalidates that ) and pretty much ends on that note, also that is AFTER the third impact (that was Rei contact with Lilith).
NGE is made to show things but never address then … come on, they did not even said what NERV stands, it makes money because pretty much EVERYONE tries to find out a meaning to the things in the show and 10 years later there will be lines to watch Gainax (continued) milking … and no, it will not have a ending, Gainax is against making endings as a principle..
about what NERV stands for, it doesnt stand for anything, it is german for NERVE, just like SEELE is german for SOUL and GEHIRN is german for BRAIN. But anyway, I see where you’re getting at, but what I said is purely my conception of things. I’m not saying what I said is absolute truth.
Yeah its all open to interpretation. I’m very much still in the ‘honeymoon stage’ of evangelion (although i was first introduced to it in 2002) in that I feel really depressed, can’t stop thinking about it and dont want to do anything else other than rewatch parts of the series over and over again and analyse them to death through conversations on forums, blogs etc such as this lol. I feel so miserable, its rediculous that a cartoon series can mess your head up like this….its like breaking up with your girlfriend
Now, my interpretation of the tv series ending is that Shinju wanted to continue on living as an individual, despite the emotional pain and suffering that comes with human interaction. The very last scenes where the glass is metaphorically breaking and shinju declares that ‘he is worth living’ to me show that hes breaking through his depression/mental problems/personality disorders (which incidentally and deliberately mirrored Anno’s problems in real life), and realises his own self worth and that people do actually like him. The final scene where everyone is congratulating him is a way of saying ‘well done Shinju for realising your own self-worth and wanting to live as an individual’. Again, this is only my interpretation and I have to say the TV series ending is really ambiguous, so I can understands Dannys argument.
The EoE ending is more straightforward in that Shinju rejects instrumentality and is reborn as a human being with an individual AT field/soul after third impact. This is also the case with Asuka. They both wanted to return as individuals (with their own souls) and had the strength in their hearts to do so (I’ve got loads of questions about Asuka in EoE, but thats for a later post I’ll write to follow). Perhaps there are other human beings on Earth after third impact, depending on whether or not they wanted to be reborn like Shinju and Asuka (this is supported by the little speech Rei/Lilth gives Shinju just before he rejects instrumentality where she says everyone can return if they have the will). Obviously this leaves the door open for the likes Misato, the Nerv personnel etc to return if they really wanted to.
I also found EoE very dark and disturbing, and the most sombre, depressing episodes of the whole lot, and the shock tactics intended by the NGE team certainly worked on me. Notice how Asuka always looks so much more manic/angry/insane in EoE compared to the tv series? As if shes drawn differently? Those manic, bulging eyes when shes fighting the mass produced Evas, and lines such as “I’ll kill you, I’ll kill you!!…etc etc”? Its as if shes on the verge on insanity, and its shows in the way shes drawm. Those scenes really f**ked me up, and I can’t get them out of me head, especially when she ‘dies’, which was very upsetting. She is my favourite character and Anno showed no mercy in writing her off, including the other characters in the show. If you compare how she looks in EoE compared to say, the episode where shes in a swimming costume teasing Shinju while they are on standby, shes looks a lot different/meaner in the former case. Much thinner black outlines and subtler colours in EoE i think make her look more menacing.
What does everyone else think about the ending of EoE, and the interpretation of the various Shinju/Asuka scenes throughout the series? Its as if Anno -himself- didnt have the balls to finish the series with a proper ending, and instead left it open to (IMHO) far too much, vast amounts actually, of interpretation by the fans. Im all for leaving stories open-ended with plenty of intepreatation, by NGE is something else lol…….Thats why my head is well and truly in the shed
that looks gay look at rei she look like a lil bich wit no boobs to pleasure my schlong. i luved tha first show cause she had big azz titties and it was hella crazy but now she looks like she 13 or some crud and now my bonus is going downer into my pocket
i no, i can’t believe my eyes when i see a naked lesbian now. i’m ashamed to be nutty!
this show sucked. i was just a male show that shows depictions of women being mistreated by men. whent this show comes out, i’m going to protest in front of my local radio shack and kiss other women in front of men to prove they are just pigs!
shut up feminist 666! women are just so whinny and wah wah wa! i don’t feel like it, i’m not in the mood! F! i’m a man, and if i want to have sex i should be able to get it. i should be able to do it all night whether she wants to or not and when i’m done with her i should have the right to say, see ya later! and push her down the stairs!
Feminist 666, that is perhaps one of the most ignorant comments I have ever read about evangelion, and i have seen many. Listen lilith (if you even know what that is) its not about men mistreating women, the show is about something else far beyond your comprehension. Its quite the oposite the only one that realy gets mistreated in the series is Shinji Ikari. This whole series was basicly about his struggle to get along with everyone else and because of his mistreatment he fucks over the world but not entirely(whatch End of Evangelion), if you want to make a comment on this series be prepared to support it because if you write down bullshit without knowing what the hell you are talking about you will be targeted by much more enlightened individuals such as myself. I dont see how kissing other women will prove anything.
male 69. You have just shown that you are a childish bigot by making that statement. Feminist 666. You are ignorant. Both of you should just take your comments somewhere else.
Neon Genesis Evangelion was one of the most awesome anime
that Gainax has ever produced. I anticipate this one with
a shit load of finesse…
Yes im obsessed… Email me, dont spam me though, on ht e details..,.
So, how many times will they re-do the ending before it’s done properly I wonder…
I’m a big fan of Evangelion and think it has great potential despite what IMO has been rather poor execution. I do think it’s been due for an overhaul (or “rebuild”) but I’m not sure this will be exactly what I’m looking for in that regard. Nevertheless, I’m very much looking forward to it.
I really hope the music is better. Zone of the Enders music (Beautiful Disaster, Kiss Me Sunlights, etc.) seems to fit EVA a lot more I think — unique, somewhat unnerving, yet epic.
elvadrieng I say let people have their opinions… and this site is supposed to be open to all opinions on ROE… I think your ignorant for saying that they are.
NEWS–Anno Hideaki will announce “an urgent statement” on 17th. A declaration of director Anno is notified as a poster by a national theater of about 50 buildings. A flash of 15 seconds is shown in screens at the same time, too. An aim to impress it with Eve reproduction because the Anno supervision that never founded a mouth tells it till now. It was decided that the first product was shown with a title of “WEVANGELIWON New Theatre version” on September 1(A title changed “e”, “o” into “wo” in “e”, too)!!!
To this statement; and portal site “yahoo!” A specially installed page is made for , and a special feature starts on 17th. Messages by the production staff are carried.

Toozey and Danny, boys you got an impressive interpretation of Evangelion. I’m not sure when I watched the serie for the first time (around 2005) but I was shocked, and made me feel so depressed like Toozey said. God, EoE made reach the bottom, but even so, when I had the opportunity to watch the serie again I did, but this time I focused on trying to understand most of the psychological and philosophical themes. I thought I really understood EoE this time, but you guys just opened my eyes. It’s amazing!
When I first heard about “rebuild…” I was so excited, even more because it was supposed to be a completely new ending, ’cause let’s say it, neither episode 25 & 26 not D&R and EoE actually finish the story.
Have you ever wondered why if Evangelion is based on Christian-Jewish concepts, they never talk about the devil? We saw the 666 code in EoE, but no one was specificaly the bad guy. Maybe Gendo or the Seele people…
I also want to know how were they (NERV) able to catch and keep the Yui’s soul inside the Eva 01. And how could they transfer Rei’s soul from one to another body, because is not true that when you die your soul goes to heaven or something like that? Remember that the last Rei is the third one.
I’d like to clarify some stuff like how the Dummy Plugs works. I’m not sure if I understood well what Ritsuko said to Shinji and Misato about the other Reis in Central Dogma. She said that Those Reis were used in the Dummy Plugs capsules, so does that mean that Eva Series’ Dummy Plugs contained a Kaworu clone inside?
I could speak about this all day long… I really would like to discuss these subjects with you both (Toozey and Danny) about Evangelion (you have the best comments in here) if you could give me you e-mail address or we may meet again in another forum, just say when and where. Let me borrow your sentece: “Let the Rebuild beguin…”
I knew that .> lol, yeah you two seem to get the gist of things, I’ve seen End of Evangelion 6 times, im planning a 7th very soon. Let me tell you it gets better and better, the more I watch it the more I understand things, overall its a masterpiece of animation the only reason people hate this or dont find it impressive is because they dont understand, Both endings in my eyes were….. inconclusive yet the ambiguity created through that only fuled my desire to find out more, here’s my question though when unit one was captured by the eva series could that itself had started third impact?, or were they counting on Rei/lilith?, however I dont consider that a possibility because Rei wanted to help shinji, ReiII was growing more affectionate to shinji until she died protecting shinji from that one angel, and suposedly her soul carried on to ReiIII. so problaly not. in the End shinji rejects insturmentality because of another heat to heart with some of the main characters, it is much like the ending in the series but its more to a personal level that his problems were solved, in EoE of course he has to deal with asuka, I believe they love eachother but due to asukas ego, temper and various other issues it will take time for them to accept eachother, but it shows shinji is becoming more mature in that he decided not to run away from his problems and in this case asuka. but if you want to interpret the overall message of Eva you must have watch both endings, which basicly say that your life is only made miserable or enjoyable through ones own perspectives, and that its better to live on despite your troubles, to carry on and make the world a better place through understanding of others and to respect their wishes. the only real questions I have left are about Rei’s and Kuarus’s origins, which like rei said “We are similar but not the same, I believe that they have similar origins but Rebuild will answer that i hope.
I feel as excited and as worried as when I discovered that the tapes of Evangelion I’d made from the TV broadcast and sent on to contacts in NZ may have triggered interest in making a live action film (butterfly effect: don’t run out into the yard and flap your arms, you never know what you might end up sharing responsibility for).
The new logos are artless compared to the originals. They look really ‘dumbed down’. I hope they are not indicative of a general trend.
I hoped that these new movies would complement all the misteries behind the story of evangelion (Instrumentality Project, Ayanami Rei/Dummy plug, Ikari Yui, S2 complex, Adam and Lilith, Second Impact,etc..), not bring new fights so that 10 year old kids like It….
…And of course more dramatic, depressive, melancolic atmosphere which is also what made this anime so great and mature.
The End of evangelion is The CREEPIEST thing ive seen in a while. I mean. It meant absolutly nothing! I thought it would be better than it was. I hope the next 4 movies are better.
lol Jim, if you think End of Evangelion meant nothing, you should go watch it again…maybe three times more.
evangelion..new stuff finally…….i’m so excited
Evangelion is the best! i love the soundtrack and everthing…and i have to say i like the Tv ending better… it was so brain washing and i am soo in love with it.
End of Evangelion was good, but it was heaps more confusing to watch, i guess the main reason it ended like that in the movie was probably made especially for the more gory type people… but that’s TOTALLY BESIDES THE POINT… why was Shinji trying to strangle Asuka in the end?? i keep reading spoilers and Wiki to find stuff out but i can’t seem to find a reason for it…
.. here’s anouther thing… in EoE Rei was meant to be like a form of Lilith, right? But how can Kaworu be Adam? Kaworu is already an angel… how can he be two angels?
… there are so much i dont get… help help explaining!
hey anon, from what ive heard in the series Kaworu is the spirit of the adam in human form, kinda like rei not so much as the liliths spirit but lilith in human form, im not sure on the details but I think thats what he is. EoE was to amazing for words but the message remains, if you didint understand it the first time watch it again, i dont even think Freud himself could comprehend it from seeing once lol.
This is just a theory but I believe that the remake of the series will be based on the most recent manga being released in Japan and the United States of Neon Genesis Evangelion: Angelic Days. Angelic Days is a retelling of the story HOWEVER the story’s universe is based on that fictitious (spelling?) realm Shinji had created for himself in episode 26 (where Asuka was like his childhood friend), and the whole manga revolves around that mostly (look it up on wikipedia). It would make sense that both are connected because both are retelling of the story AND seem, according to the comments released for the movies, to have a lot of ties connecting them. Look into Angelic Days and tell me if anyone things the same way.
Also wanted to add that the only opposition to this theory would be that Asuka does NOT appear in the first movie (according to press releases), which would contradict the fact that Asuka and Shinji have known each other since they were four years old (unless they just don’t make her appear, for some reason).
it has already been confirmed that the first movie covers the first quarter of the anime series or something, which is before asuka first appears
do you think they’ll change the outcome of the human instrumentality project in the fourth movie? they said that they would have an all new ending…
4 new films amazing! I must get them. If any one has any questions about Evangelion I am the guy who knows the most contact me at KillBill_Live@hotmail.com.
If any one wants to see videos of the now Evangelion movies go to http://eva.yahoo.co.jp/gekijou/ and select the yellow ‘1 M’ word!
ha.haha. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! GOD IS IN HIS HEAVEN, ALL IS RIGHT WITH THE WORLD!!!
Evangelion is a masterpiece- to watch it as someone who suffered depression personally, as did shinji, only make’s it more powerful as a series in my mind. It was a perfect depiction of life and it’s trial’s, depression, teenage difficulty and as shinji learned himself through the narrative: there’s a time in every man’s life where he has to choose between fight or flight. When that time come’s, you have to fight. I took that lesson well. So all in all eva helped me in life- a rebuild will be valhallah!!!
grr… is it here yet…?
im so bored i’d shit myself for exitement.
Really wanna watch it. Just hoping the Dubbed version doesn’t suck even though it will probably because all dubbed versions of anime sucks. Well actually Samarai Champloo dubbed version was better than the jap one.
spoilers
wow 4 new ones huh? ive already seen the trailer for the 1st one and ive gotta say it looks fantastic. its completely remastered agin and it looks a lot better. this will be 100 times better than the re-mastered version of the original people. everything looks great and theyre even adding stuff too like a new character who is a girl described with dark hair and glasses. and its said that units 05 and 06 will make some appearence too. i know this becuz i saw the second trailer designs too. theres sum real wierd floaty ghost creatures falshin the names adam and lilith too. bottom line is that any eva fan has to see this movie.

The best answers there are to all questions pertaining to Evangelion IMHO can be found in the Evangelio Otaku website. Check out the FAQs in the following links, I believe all the questions submitted here can be addressed:
