Quick Blogging List Update
Ok, here’s the list of anime I will be dropping:
- Nodame Cantabile
- Venus Versus Virus
And here’s the list of new spring 2007 anime I have seen, and whether I will be picking them up or not:
Nagasarete Airantou – yup, blogging this.
Hayate the Combat Butler – blogging this too.
Seto no Hanayome – will blog this if subs are released.
Darker than Black – blogging this too.
Lucky Star – oh hell yes, definitely blogging this.
Nanoha StrikerS – er, I will probably be blogging this…lol
Gigantic Formula – this is an awesome show, but sadly not blogging it. It seems mecha has been overrunning heaps of shows this season, and I was afraid they’d all be crap. Thankfully, I’ve found a really good show here.
Idolmaster Xenoglossia – another mecha show that I will be watching but not blogging. It’s not as good as Gigantic Formula, but the array of characters is what keeps me deeply interested.
Lovely Complex – yes, I will be blogging this show. I was reluctant at first, but seeing how hilarious it is, and the fact that I haven’t blogged a shoujo in a while (or at all) made me change my mind. The character designs are awful though. x_x
Claymore – yuck, the character designs suck so bad I couldn’t watch for more than 15 minutes. And no, I did not diss it for being shounen. Sorry, won’t be watching/blogging this show.
Overdrive – nice first episode, but I won’t be continuing with this show (in terms of watching and blogging). I guess I don’t have enough motivation…
Touka Gettan – watched the first episode, didn’t understand much, wasn’t attracted much either. No, won’t be watching or blogging this one.
Romeo x Juliet – even though I liked the first episode, I realise that these kinds of shows I usually end up disliking (and since I have a limit to my download due to crap Australian internet, I decided to drop it in watching and blogging).
Shining Tears X Wind – well, I was interested in this show because it looked alright, but that’s about it. I didn’t like the first episode much, and for same reasons for dropping RxJ, I will not be watching and/or blogging this show.
Bokurano – yes, definitely watching this show (still because everyone says it will get a lot better), but won’t be blogging it.
Heroic Age – I will be following this anime as well, but won’t be blogging it.
Hitohira – won’t be watching this anime…
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagaan – watched the second episode in Japan lol…wasn’t very interested so won’t be watching any more.
El Cazador – I wanted to follow this anime, but again from experience, these animes usually lose my interest after a while
Shinkyoku Soukai Polyphonica – wow, animation quality is in the shits…won’t be following this.
Liar Game – lol, this isn’t an anime, it’s a dorama, but I just mentioned it since I shall be watching it.

like i said, the character designs put me off too much. no matter how good the gore, fighting, plot and stuff are, i wont watch it because of the character design (unless youre telling me the designs change in ep 3 or something)
Heh darn, Claymore is pretty good an intresting anime but if you hate the character designs that much I guess no amount of action gore and plot will get you intrested. Too bad lol x.x; And yeah Touka Getta made no effing sense to me either. People say you’ll start to get it at ep 3 but I duno…
Eh, having Gigantic Formula on the list is good enough. I can understand your excuse for Claymore. It’s like telling me to watch Zero no Tsukaima (even though I did end up following it since the other shows were worse.)
And speaking of Seto no Hanayome, it’s really frustrating when no one subs a certain show while there’s like twenty (just an exaggeration) different groups subbing Lucky Star. I mean, that really effects what you want to watch or blog. Lack of fansubs to my liking was the only reason I gave up on Bakumatsu. Unfortunately, same is about to happened to Gigantic Formula. Those subs by Lunar are awfully large. Over 300mb for the mkv version? The hell? One of these days, I’ll have to learn to encode my own anime or something.
Well, have fun blogging this season, Danny. I’m kind of screwed right now so I might have to blog El Cazador or something else. Reideen’s a been a little draggy too. They better move on to some actual plot on the next story rather than throwing a new monster and a new weapon for Reideen every two weeks.
We all have our different tastes, and there can be just one little thing that just turn us off. I thought the animation quality was amazing in Gurren-Lagann, for example, but Kamina’s incessent yelling just makes me wanna shut off the TV. So you go ahead and blog Lucky Star… I’ll blog Claymore.
Definately a good line-up this season and I think you made very good choices about which to blog. I definately loved the first 2 episodes of Romeo and Juliet..but yeah i think eventually it might get tiresome…but i’m gonna follow it anyway. According to ANN, Touka Getta was based on a hentai or something..so i wonder if watching that would clear stuff up? I dunno. And what about ’sola’..it seems pretty interesting…those quality is kinda..meh. oh well, welcome back and have fun watching!

Luckily I’m not too limited on my plan. Such a shame that no one is subbing Seto no Hanayome yet, although it is possible to watch it raw, but there is some parts that i find hard to follow.

I don’t have a download limit where I live so I can download how much I want. I feel soory for you:). the only shows I dropped so far are Touka Gettan and Koutetsu Sangokushi. hentai/gay. will you still watch Nodame Cantabile? I still think it’s great show. I have a lot of free till march 2008, so I watch almost all the shows

Seto no Hanayome ftw!! Boku no fuasto kisu no hito! this show is ridiculous man, ridiculous. They even have a suiseiseki in it in ep.3.

hmm, i said i would blog seto no hanayome if there are subs, but it doesnt look like i will even though theres a sub for episode 1. the subs are too far behind.

I loved the Masa-san yaoi inserts, and the yakuza fair vendors, but the mo(i)st awesome was scene of drying feet…

Also – I was a bit appalled by the character design in Claymore, but seriously, I plead that you give it a few more episodes (better yet -read the manga) The character development and artwork of the background sceness is really worth it. So is the story.

Oops sorry about the double post. Am writing back to say I’ve just finished watching Seto no Hanayome and thought most of it was hilarious!
Yea I’ve seen a few shows you’ve blogged..Seto No Hanayome is awesome I love it.. Airantou Nagaserete (I dont think I spelt that right) is good at first but then it really gets tiresome with all the fillers.. I wanna see Polyphonica I guess I’m a sucker for bishojo..

Yea… just as everybody said, it’s a shame that you won’t be watching Claymore. But hey, I don’t blame you about being turned off about its character design. The very very very old anime Rose of Versailles as I heard from my sister has this really good sad scene. I wish I could watch up to that part but I can’t, the animation just can’t put me to there. Claymore’s character design is basically the same with all the Claymores: large shoulder pieces, grey-white clothing, metal shoes, and their symbol at their neck. Anyways, what’s nice about Claymore is without a doubt, the character development. 10/10. The changes and development and experiences and journeys the characters go through is incredible. The action is decent, animation is well, but no matter what, you will definitely not miss the character development. Since you’re not going to be watching this anime, I decided to just tell you and share this with you.
