Pumpkin Scissors: Episode 12

Rating: 8.4/10

Impressions:

I say if you see potential in a show, continue watching even if it starts crap. However, if you don’t see any potential by 1/4 of the series, then drop it and never look back. But then again if you’re an American, Korean, Malaysian or any other damn country with good and unlimited internet, you can just marathon the whole thing at the end if it turns out to be good. But for those who live in Australia, you must know the pain and suffering of expensive, shit and limited internet, like me. Well anyway, the point of that is to say that I am glad I didn’t drop this series. And now by the halfway mark, the show’s storyline is finally taking precedence. Not to mention the quality has returned to a high level and has stayed there since. I think I might actually start writing summaries and place this show a bit higher on my significance chart. It is still quite low, seeing as how late my entries for this show are, but that will probably change. For once, apart from the first and second episode, I’m actually excited about this series. Let’s hope that doesn’t wear out too fast.

Not only that, but the preview of the next episode got me really excited. ‘Why?’ you ask. ‘It looks like another filler!’ Well, it might be. Or it might be really important to the show. But the main thing is that the girl is totally moelicious, and the quality seems quite high. I wouldn’t mind it if it is a filler! But if she turns out to be a significant character with a large role to play, that would be even more awesome! And of course, we get confirmation that Alice’s fiancée is evil. Just like everyone predicted, right? Now the newspaper reporter and Alice’s kidnappers have been killed off, the true enemies are beginning to emerge. The scientist involved with the Invisible 9 project, as well as Alice’s fiancée and that shady woman are all high candidates for the ‘major’ evils now. It would be really fun if more than two sides emerge though. Three-way fights are always more interesting than those involving only two, which would be too straightforward. And going back to the preview about the little girl/princess, I say the more characters the bigger the world becomes!

Plot Outline:

- Oreld and Orlando go through town searching for clues regarding Alice’s kidnapping
- The newspaper reporter visits section III and inquires about Invisible 9
- Alice returns unexpectedly, prompting the reporter to leave
- Oreld and Orlando come back shortly, and so Alice explains that her kidnappers want to use section III to reveal all there is about Invisible 9, and how corrupt the government and military are
- The reporter then tries to buy the manuscript off Cecile and her friends
- Cecile refuses, but is knocked out by her friends and the manuscript is sold
- When her friends make a run for it, they get shot and killed

- Cecile wakes up and goes looking for them, but instead meets up with Alice and Orlando
- Cecile is still hostile towards them, though she agrees to let Alice treat the wound on her head, which she obtained when her friends knocked her out
- Outside, they get attacked by an assassin, though Orlando manages to overcome him
- However, the assassin kills himself with the poison in his teeth to prevent any information from being leaked
- Alice and the rest of section III go and inquire about the manuscript at the news company, though they claim that it has been taken
- Back at HQ, everyone learns of the death of Cecile’s friends and the news reporter
- Cecile returns home while Alice’s determination to win this new battle increases
- Elsewhere, Alice’s fiancée is having a chat with an unknown woman
