Impressions:

Another awesome episode of Negima!? I really do love this show now. Surprisingly though, I kind of forgot about it until…now. If you look to my previous post, you’ll see it’s a month before this one. I don’t know how I just suddenly stopped and didn’t think twice; this show is great! Main attractions are the harem and the comedy. For me though, it’s also the unique style, featuring quick, repetitive frame transitions and the multiple sliding screens. As for the harem, all the girls are super cute, though my favourite would have to be Konoka aka Ojou-sama (from Setsuna). She’s incredibly playful, sweet at times, cute and somewhat dense like all the other girls (except Setsuna). A close second would probably be Chiu, the alter ego of Chisame. Her internet idol business is sweet. It’s just another random extra Negima!? loves to throw in for extra content and comedy. Nodoka’s mind-reading is also hilarious, as well as the chupacabura hunt, while Setsuna and Konoka development is touching. Well, I’ve already listed a variety of emotions that I have gotten from this show, though there is still something missing; action. Hopefully, there will be some next episode.

With Konoka and Setsuna discovering Negima’s identity, it seems the main cast has finally gathered. I get ‘main cast’ from the official site of Negima!?, where Negima looks like he is being screwed by Asuna, with Nodoka, Konoka and Setsuna along for the ride. Anyway, I’ve been wondering about the vast expanses of emptiness that this show seems to crave. Everything apart from that has excellent production value, though it seems that there is no one else except for a few people in huge areas. And is Negi’s class the only class in the whole school? That’s so ridiculous, the school’s a freaking castle. Or perhaps it’s for an enhancing effect. Actually, that seems like a more plausible reason, since I kind of prefer the isolation (for once in my life). Oh and the OP has some new singers and lyrics, though apparently it only applies to this episode and the next. And- ooooh noooo I just read Xebek’s entry on this episode and he reveals that Konoka is actually some super mage!! Noo I have just been massively spoiled. And if you’re like me, you’re probably saying “Noo! I just read Danny’s entry on Negima!? 5 and now…blah blah.” Oh well, if there has to be a super mage then it should definitely Konoka; she’s too kawaaaiiii!!
