Nagasarete Airantou: Episode 4

Rating: 9.3/10

Impressions:

In terms of plot, the anime seems to be jumping all over the place, but this doesn’t really matter as long as it doesn’t affect the progress of any relationship development. For the moment, the show will probably go into many disjointed episodic stories that introduce/reinforce any characters that have yet to be familiarised. One I’m certainly looking forward to is a Machi-feature episode. Chikage is also pretty interesting, and I would love to see when she finally learns the ‘truth’ about people of the opposite sex. xD Her character highly amusing, mainly due to her split-personality…though I guess everyone sort of has a split personality due to their raging hormones…

This episode was strangely funnier than usual for me, probably because I couldn’t recall much of it from the manga. The evil spirit is another perfect representation of the island’s craziness (others include the compliant animals, the oversized vegetables and the insanely hilarious sheep! What I love about this show is its ability to dish out plenty more, as those who haven’t read the manga will soon see. The characters themselves are obviously pretty weird, but definitely not for anime standards. It’s a good thing Ikuto isn’t THAT much of a spineless harem lead…though his trouble with nose-bleeding sure gets in the way sometimes…

haha i loved this episode. that mame daifuku obsession is so lol. and that one scene where Machi appears on Ikuto’s lap was so unbelievably awesome that I had to watch it over twice.
