Nagasarete Airantou: Episode 13

Rating: 7.7/10

Impressions:

Character-development wise, this is a pretty good episode as it gives some more background and personality to both Suzu and Ikuto. I have to say Ikuto’s sister is cuter than most of the girls on the island, and no it’s not just that seifuku that’s getting to me. Usually in an episode of Nagsarete Airantou, misunderstandings usually result in humour (as does in many comedies, especially School Rumble). However, this episode shows a more serious side of the show and actually uses this misunderstanding to further the relationship between Suzu and Ikuto especially (something which I am all for).

As you can probably tell, I enjoyed this episode quite a bit. The last part where Suzu and Ikuto have their little chat at night is pretty cute too, especially with Suzu red in the face the whole time. The thing is, I don’t find Nagasarete Airantou all that funny, which is why I always hope for some character development in each episode. If the relationship can improve between any of the characters, I’d like that as well, since the connection between all the characters hasn’t changed or grown much. I’m certainly a fan of Suzu and Ikuto, so it’s always nice if they have their nice moments together etc. I’ve yet to see anything interesting in the manga though involving the two…

Yes I agree, the chickens are just lulz. So was yukino and her grand attempt at being a woman xD

I’d say that this episode is still another repetition of similar ideas introduced in the past…not overly impressed.
