Mushi-Uta: Episodes 6 & 7

Rating: 7/10 & 7.5/10

Impressions:

The pace slows down quite a bit in episode 6, though it does build on Shiika’s character. Overall, it’s a nice little episode where she meets some other minor characters, enhancing the show’s overall character-character relationship matrix. The requests Shiika makes, and the fact that they are accepted, seem pretty strange to me. It seems that visiting schools is a big thing in many anime, though I guess if I had never been to one before, I’d be interested as well. Anyway though, hopefully Shiika’s visit to the school will mean Rina’s friends develop a more important role in the future, although I believe it to be fairly unlikely.

Episode 7 returns the thrill value of the show to normal, with some more action. This time, Asami has become a host, and I have a feeling she won’t make it to the end of the series. It seems that this show doesn’t hesitate to have people’s mushi killed. Kasuo will be problematic as well, though I find her sudden placement into the series to be rather hasty and unnatural. Luckily though, along with her, several other characters come into the light as well. I especially like the little girl who accompanies Kasuo when she appears. The guy with her doesn’t interest me much though…

Did you hear that Mushi-Uta is no longer a 12 episode show? apparently, 12 more episodes were announced to come. the slow pace worried me, but now with the additional episodes it makes more sense.

Episode 8 was pretty good, so catch up already!

Thanks for telling me. I’m going by 2 episodes, so the next post won’t be out until episode 9 is subbed.

arcanes you just made my day :D . im so glad they decided to extend it i mean if it was just a 12 episode series i was afraid the ending might be really crappy since they would rush everything and its getting really intresting now. i kinda guessed they would make more episodes but i thought it wouldve been in the form of a second season like zero no tsukaima first season included 13 episodes and now theres zero no tsukaima futatsuki no kishi. there were alot of clues too. well cant wait :D

That seems reasonable for this series to have more than 12 episodes because there are 14 volumes so far for the light-novels and there will be a crappy/rushing ending if this series has just 12 episodes.

Damn, I can’t wait for episode 9. I wonder why they have not sub it already since episode 9 was out in Japan 2 weeks ago.
