Impressions:

KyoAni has done it again, making this episode of Lucky Star my favourite to date. Everything is win: Kona-chan’s dad, the entire sports meet, Kona-chan’s “visualising” skills, Tsukasa and her recorder, Kona-chan getting her post card published in Newtype, Tsukasa imagining herself as the older sister, and last but not least, the never-tiring Lukcy Channel! Of course, the other jokes were awesome as well, but the ones I mentioned just had that extra punch, whether it be a sudden quality boost by KyoAni, parody or simply just being more hilarious than usual!

The thing with making excellent episodes at this stage means that it will probably be hard to top off later, but knowing KyoAni, it could well happen! I’m certainly looking forward to next episode, and I don’t really even bother with the previews as they don’t even begin to reveal the goodness of what a Lucky Star episode is. This season, I’d have to say my favourite show is Lucky Star (and my second is actually sola, which I have no idea why). People can’t possibly be saying that Kyoto Animation wasted their money on this show, can they? It goes to show that KyoAni certainly has not lost its touch.
