Lucky Star: Episode 7

Impressions:
Wow, Kona-chan going ‘Gokigenyo’ in onee-sama mode is really moe. I would should like to see more of that side of her. And was it just me, or was the quality rather high this episode? Or maybe it was the impressive animation of Akira’s expressions in the Lucky Channel section at the end of the episode. xD I do hope the quality gets a lot better (for Kyoto Animation standards), but not if it affects any future KyoAni productions, such as Clannad. Speaking of KyoAni, I hope they do a series that’s not a Key game afterwards. It would be nice if they bring up some unknown fantasy to light (I love my Shana and Mai Hime)!
Anyway, this episode was once again quite hilarious, and by now I would say Lucky Star has definitely lived up to my expectations of it, coming from KyoAni mainly. The way Kona-chan brings about the truth of so many things (in anime and games etc), is just too awesome. As for other viewers, I have a vague idea judging by the poll on the right. But comedy anime with no storyline always have a problematic ending, such as Pani Poni Dash, School Rumble, Ouran High School etc. You could even say the same for Suzumiya Haruhi, but in my opinion, every episode was so good, the ending was excellent by default.

I really like the direction they are taking in the last two episodes. The first five were good, but these are just amazing. I did even really appreciate how good the anime was until Tsukasa encounters the seashell in #6, which was a perfect quirky kind of thing that episode needed.

I love tis series sooooooo much, ALL the character are SO cute! and and konota is just da best xD i love it in this ep when kagami imagines herself with the chocolate cornet bread ‘bottom’omg hilarium~!! could not stop laughing for a while.
and also the part when konotas dads just sitting in his room with same expression calling konota on mobile and her ring tones ‘hare hare yukai’ hahaha tat was great too. love it all, and the oneesama part…. omg! aya hirano is so funny!
JasonP: yeah I completely agree. I guess the change of director was a good thing indeed. PS - kona-chan XD rocks!
Furuba: same here. It would be awesome if KyoAni puts in a little more so that not only is the show hilarious and totally cute, it looks fantastic as well! (not that it doesn’t at the moment)
