Lucky Star: Episode 3

Impressions:

Is it just me, or is the moe-ness of Lucky Star increasing with each episode? I am so in love with Konata’s XD face. She and the twins in ponytails are hilarious as well. I know some people aren’t really finding this show a comedy at all, let alone liking it, though I find it amazing funny. It definitely has that Azumanga Daioh feel to it, only less school orientated and more random. Not to mention the characters look better (and definitely younger) and perhaps have more interesting personalities. Either that or it’s just because of Kyoto Animation xD. In any case, I certainly hope that more people will grow fond of this show as it progresses.

I think what we’re getting now is what we’ll get near the end of the show, but repetitive watching can change views, both negatively and positively. It happens a lot with music, especially to me. A good example would be how I like the OP now (I actually bothered to read the translation, and it is indeed pretty moe). It’s probably not something I’d listen to just for the music, but watching the OP animation sequence is pretty fun. However, I like the ED a lot more, even though the so-called ‘ED’ is just dialogue and some hilarious karaoke singing. Hirano Aya’s performance of that FMP song is pretty good as well.

    I loved this episode, especially the Lucky Channel segment. Akira was pretty blunt regarding the type of crowd she’s popular with LOL.

    Well, I personally enjoy all the luckystar eps 1 till to date. Watch this eps 3 in office and laugh out loud “isnt the real mystery how tsukasa’s in the same school as us?”, the summer uniform… its cool… hilarious… funnie
