Lucky Star: Episode 19

Impressions:

Is it just me, or is this episode of Lucky Star just a tad crazier than all the others? It feels like the energy has been upped significantly, and the comedy has somewhat morphed from the usual verbal jokes to the extremely exaggerated ones. I think I’d have to say that this is my favourite episode so far. A lot of the jokes are short as well, though just as sweet. The episode places Tamura in the spotlight for some time as well, and she’s probably become my favourite character now. She’s just like Kona-chan, except not nearly as composed, which is a good thing for entertainment purposes.

    Yeah, this episode definitely went with a slightly different flavor of comedy, which was a good thing.

    Now if only they’d go back to those karaoke EDs instead of Random Songs with Shiraishi Minoru. :P

    awsome site dude. i just by chance came accross it. i’ve learnt alot…… but….. i cant seem to work out if you host the anime, or just write about it?

    btw, what fansubbers do you use? AFK or kazenokoe? i personally prefer the style of the kazenokoe mob, but the AFK mob are more reliable (fansub more anime’s per day than kazenokoe)

    Guerrand subs and releases them on Monday (airs on Sunday) in Japan. AFK released them extremely late now.

    But of all the subbers, I think AFK has the best translation quality. Sure the raw might not be good but look at the life they add to the subs. Guerrand is good for quick viewings.

    Actually, I have been grabbing Guerrand’s for quick view, and d/ling AFK’s when it comes out, for consistency’s sake, after all Guerrand didn’t start until ep 16
    And I have rewatched every one of them, sometimes twice, sometimes something slips by me :)
