Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora: Episode 4

Rating: 8.4/10
Impressions:
Kyosora remains as entertaining as ever, with Kuu’s semi-nonsensical jabbering and exaggerated emotions. Well, she’s semi-nonsensical only to me because I tend to not take in whatever she says when she starts her sentences off with ‘Haikei, watashi no ouij-sama’. I dunno, somehow I still react to it if its funny, but a minute later if you ask me what she said, I’d be completely blank. Still, Kuu is amazingly cute with her little gestures and facial expressions, as well as her tendency to blurt out all her personal thoughts. She would be completely ridiculous in real life, but she’s awesome in this anime!

Heh, no bath scenes of kissing this episode…that makes it semi fail. But then there’s actually plot and the revelation of some interesting back-story, so that’s a semi non-fail (there I go, making up words). In the end, it’s still pretty average, though entertaining enough for me to call it a good episode. Kyoshiro’s resolution to kill all the Absolute Angels is supposed to be a shock I think, but I kind of tuned out when the origin of the Angels was explained, meaning I didn’t really react to Kyoshiro’s announcement lol. Really, this show just makes me switch off my brain at the most important times. I’m surprised I still remember how Kyoshiro’s brother died to save the world.

I suppose this episode is meant to make us (the viewers) think, as it proposes an interesting state of diplomacies. We now need to decide upon ourselves who is good and who is evil. I’m going to say straight out that the woman with the blue haired Angel is evil, based solely on the fact that she is always shown with red lighting. Yes, I’m that simple. But now the questionable thing is how good or evil Kyoshiro is, as well as his scarred brother. Kyoshiro wants to kill all the Angels, and treats them like weapons instead of humans. His brother on the other hand, wishes to save the Angels as they are sad and pitiful.

Will Kyoshiro automatically be named as good since he is the main character (apart from Kuu)? Or will sympathy surface in his brother’s pool? (What the hell is that metaphor, I just completely made that up). I personally don’t care, as I said before I don’t like to think about this show. I’m glad this series is only 12 episodes long, as I doubt I would still be interested in it 20 episodes later, unless the repetitiveness ceases. I would also like to see how things are resolved as soon as possible, and how Kuu turns out (I’ve mentioned before that Kuu is the only reason why I like this show). And btw, is Kyoshiro’s hero of a brother really dead? Was his corpse found?

It’s ridiculously funny how many times Kuu says Ayanokoji-san near the beginning the episode… “Ayanokoji-san”….”Ayanokoji-san”…. Ayanokoji-san”.. O_O. lol. really nice blog you have. keep up the good work.
Well, I got this feeling that Kuu is Megingjord’s Waruteishia.
In the OP, you can see the part where Kyoshiro stabs Kuu.
“Heh, no bath scenes of kissing this episode…that makes it semi fail.”
“I’m going to say straight out that the woman with the blue haired Angel is evil”
QFT.
I still can’t believe they passed up that kissing opportunity at the end D=
Mika has to die, harming Kaon/Chikane MUST have consequences!
Kyoshiro also has to die, for even planning to harm Setsuna. I mentioned elsewhere that she should figure out that princes are overrated. Still, I’m dissapointed that they didn’t wait until towards the end to reveal that Kyoshiro’s brother looks the same as the prince of Kuu’s dreams.
At least they haven’t come out and slapped us in the face with what is so special about Kuu (apart from her total cluelessness). I’m hoping that Kyoshiro’s brother turns out to be a good guy and the angels really are pitiable. That would be a great twist for what could be a bland and predictable series.
chea88: kuu is naturally funny anyway
milven: heh, i never pay attention to the OP and have only seen it once…didnt notice at all
shirukii: lol glad you agree!
wererat42: it was kind of easy to guess that kyoshiros brother looks like the guy in kuu’s dreams…
