Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora: Episode 3

Rating: 8.4/10 (what can I say? I’m growing fond of this show)

Impressions:

I have to admit I have a strange lust for this show and its absurdity. Kuu is the only reason I watch this show, and she is one of the most outrageously naive and unbelievable character I’ve ever seen. This is not about her character design, which I adore anyway, but about her amazingly attractive personality. I love her ‘letters’ to her prince, what they contain are awesomely exaggerated thoughts on every little event or surrounding she can throw her gaze on. I mean, she has all these extremely deep emotional thoughts about Setsuna and Kyoshiro, envisioning them together and like a prince and princess, then to how Kyoshiro is mistreating Setsuna, and finally to her own romantic fantasies of being with Kyoshiro. They just don’t work together, yet she somehow find no trouble in squeezing these thoughts into her head. Shirukii compares her rants to Kyon’s, and I totally agree. This is just what makes Kuu the highlight of the show. I hope it keeps up and I’m looking forward to sitting back and laughing at some more randomness!

More good points! Heavy over-usage of bath/shower and kissing scenes. Someone has to take a bath or shower every episode, gender unexclusive. And apparently to make it less like pure fanservice, the script writers make all the important self discussions and planning happen during these scenes. However, I’m sure many people will be distracted to take in any important information that is discussed during these times, like I was. Really, I don’t know what the hell is going on anyway, and I still can’t match names and faces apart from the main three characters. Also, kisses: they are just really hot, especially yuri ones. Setsuna’s little peck with Kuu was completely unexpected, yet oh so satisfying. It’s always satisfying when your favourite character gets a kiss! However, the number of kisses Kyoshiro gives out is far too many and has already decreased their value to almost…nothing. Oh well, at least the yuri kisses are still good! Oh and before you start thinking I like everything about this show, I should also mention I hate the catgirl. She’s annoying and I hate her cat sounds.

agreed Kuu is the only reason. Series is better than I thought it was going to be though.

Whoo, more kyousora love, Kuu’s not the only good point about the show T_T There’s also Setsuna, who’s hair is beyond the bounds of awesome.

And naga_jahat, lack of action is infinitely better than Kannaduki no Miko class mecha X_X though kyousora’s mecha doesn’t seem to be as bad.

In any case, someone has to put together a solid argument as to why this show wins, I need to justify my obsession =(

Kuu is great! Kissing is heated, yuuss! But its really random; I’m guessing Kuu has been depositing all those letters in a MAIL BIN ON THE EDGE OF A CLIFF?!?!WTF That definitely is going nowhere; unless theres a tunnel leading to the underworld beneath the cliff

Oddly, I get this image of Kyoshiro in a Western-style tuxedo (not that there is an Eastern one) swooning random women, bending them into kisses, and surely fixing his bow tie afterwards as he pauses and walks away…

So anyway, lol ^^

I don’t know what it is about Kuu.
The way she is drawn, her voice actress, and personality make her soooo luvably huggable.
Her expressions are priceless…Probably just as cute as when Shana blushes
