retsgip: Heh, Mai is one of my least favourite characters. It’s more her character design than her personality though.

TedFox: I didn’t really mind. I wasn’t too stunned with last episode’s turn of events.

prince leon: oh noes, is something bad going to happen already? Or she is supposed to be so cute that any fanboy would cry? xD

cheirus: hmm, you make a good point, although I felt Nayuki’s answer to Makoto’s disappearance was Ayu was a bit heartless. It’s like saying when your dog dies that you can just go get another dog.

Haha Danny, kudos once again for surviving the post. I am glad that even though you were sapped of your energy temporarily, you were still able to carry on and deliver this writeup anyway (naps are truly a magical thing. Also, perhaps there could be a similarity between Eva and Kanon…

I don’t know if Yuuichi’s is recovering too quickly… to me, it feels more like everyone is just trying to cope. If you look at that sequence where Yuuichi and Ayu do that really silly dance after fighting over that steak, by itself it would look like they’re having fun. However, this scene is deliberately placed with a voice over of Yuuichi and Ayu talking about Makoto. Immediately afterwards, Nayu and Yuuichi talk about how it’s nice having Ayu over since the house doesn’t seem so empty. The way the scene executes makeas it feel like the household is trying to be extra cheerful, like a facade or something.

Then again, maybe I’m reading too much into it. Just my take on it anyways.

The change from the last episode to this is too drastic for me. Even yuuichi recovered faster than I did.

I can’t wait to see mai in a dress though.

Lol, was wondering how you managed to connect EVA and Kanon 11 but it was just a comment about being braindead, sad. I was expecting some huge conspiracy involving characters and companies paying off each other and a bunch of drama, oh well. This episode wasn’t that bad at all, but I just found the comedy to be a little to “young.” I felt like I was watching a kids show or something. At least when Yuuichi was a dick the comedy was directed more to an older audience. Maybe they’re losing their touch.

I’m glad this is a Mai arc because she’s one of my favorite characters.
