Innocent Venus: Episodes 5 & 6

Impressions:
Well I can say this series has become far more interesting than previously, though it has turned out to be one of the less popular shows of summer. Still, I am not writing summaries because I never did with this show and I’m not starting now. Please check Anime Nano or AnimeBlogger.net Antenna for summaries.
Episodes 5 and 6 reveals the answers to a lot of questions, and the latter has a helluva lot of thrilling action scenes. I must admit, the animators do know how to make a good giant mecha/military type shootout, though the bad thing was it was too dark. The night setting is always a good choice for increased exhilaration, but it just brings the overall enjoyment down when you can’t make out what’s going on. However, I always love situations where the ex-’whatever’ who betrayed the ‘whatevers’ comes back and engages combat with the ‘whatevers’. In this case, it is Jo and the Phantoms. It’s fun to see such an even match (*thinking of Gundam Seed*).
Anyway, like I said earlier, many questions were answered in the two episodes, which brings the complexity of the story up. Jin and Jo’s past are explored further, as well as Jin’s relationship with Sana’s father. It is also revealed that Jin’s motive as of now is to avenge his father (a politician), who committed suicide after losing all of his political power. So who’s to blame for that? The ones who made his position…Another thing, we are given more material to work with when it comes to discovering why Sana’s so special.

Originally I was gonna watch this because the pinkhaired girl looked cute, but I ran out of space on my HD and had to delete it. You think it’s worth downloading and watching? Good plot? Good action? Some romance?
Definitely good action, but that’s about it. I don’t really like it but it still has halfway to go. Guess you should get some more opinions on this one.
eh…its more than jus good action - the story’s pretty good too. its definitely getting more interesing now. id say download it and try it!
If You like Mecha, then, good for you, but if you don’t like Mecha, you should know that the story does not revolve around it like the shows such as Gundam Wing. There’s some good fighting on foot too.
Is it kinda like Eureka 7? Meh, I’ll just give it a try..
Definitely not…Eureka 7’s all about the mecha, while Innocent Venus is set in an apocalyptic age with real wars, real conspiracies and such, intended for an older audience. Yes, the story is becoming more interesting as more things are revealled, but with only 6-7 eps left, it better be…
