This is the show that everybody is talking about, and I’ve either heard that it’s really good, or something that people ‘might check out’. It’s pretty obvious that only those who’ve read the manga know how awesome this is, with a minority of those disliking it. Then there are the rest of you out there oblivious to how good the manga is, and so are forced to say that they will either check this show out due to the high anticipation, or reject it immediately to a seemingly crap premises. Hayate the Combat Butler is about a poor high school student (Hayate) who has been sold to the yakuza by his parents for his organs’ worth. In order to repay the debt though, he attempts to kidnap a girl, but ends up saving her from the yakuza. As repayment, the girl (who turns out to be rich) pays off his debt, and allows him to work as her butler to pay off his new debt, which he owes the girl. (Extracted from my spring 2007 preview, which hasn’t been posted yet lol)

The story looks promising enough…then again, I thought that about Kyoshiro, and I dropped that after the first episode xD

I’m kinda disappointed that Hayate when force-crossdressed does not look nearly as trappy as he should in the anime.

Im going to enjoy watching this. I just finished reading up to vol. 4 of the manga and from what I can see of the above screenshots the two are going to be more or less interchangeable, which is a good thing, a very good thing. BTW, I HIGHLY suggest you read the manga, just be prepared for some laughs.

ahhh….no. God, I know I’m going to be hated by all anime bloggers. Since I put my 2 cents in almost all the shows I don’t like. But theres a slight chance I will even watch the first epi. The first thing I look for in an anime is good character designs and not huge eyes. Very unrealistic. Plus they look like in grade school and not high. Plus theres got to be a hot older guy for me to watch it. But everyone has there on taste.
