Hayate the Combat Butler: Episode 8

Impressions:
I found it pretty funny when Hayate gets forced into those ridiculous outfits in the manga, but I never expected to be more awed by the anime. Yup, I loved this episode. The first half focuses on Hayate, who looks unbelievable girlish when dressed up as one. I’m amazed at how well the animators did this episode. Tama’s actions definitely got the most laughter out of me. The second episode was hilarious as well, with Hayate parodying generic anime constructs and themes (eg, the ‘Maria path’, and the ‘final boss’). In my opinion, this episode has been the best so far. Now to catch up with episode nine…
