Hayate the Combat Butler: Episode 6

Rating: 9/10
Impressions:
New characters are always interesting, and finally Wataru and his maid have showed themselves. I still remember when I read this part in the manga, instantly disliking Wataru for his belief of being so superior than everyone else (when he’s actually poor lol), but he definitely gets better later in the story. The introduction of Wataru and Isumi once again expands the pool of unrequited love, as so far there has been no suitable couple. Also, I think by now that people who don’t know the story would have guessed that the girl with the twintails in random shots (this time she’s in a bath) is actually an important character. She’ll further expand this unrequited love poor surely…
Speaking of relationships, one which has yet to fully bloom involves Hayate and my favourite character (don’t woryy, it’s a girl). I won’t mention her name, but I definitely want to see more relational development between the two (which has been quite successful in the manga so far). I guess this can mean Hayate has found himself a nice harem (or will ‘attain’ on). However, it’s refreshing to know that Hayate isn’t some coward with a fear of women (but unfortunately he’s just very thick). In any case though, I have to say I prefer the manga a lot more than the anime, mainly because I find the manga to retain comedy better.

Hinagunku is teh win
Of the two, I have to favor the manga because it had more black comedy. But I like both adaptations so far.
i have to agree with theBigN because the anime doesn’t retain all of the comedy in the manga…
