Impressions:

I wonder why Maria became a maid when she was such a genius…maybe the pay is substantially higher than any other job she could find. o_o Anyway, things are starting to get interesting now with the introduction of these ‘professional’ combat butlers, which should take the show in a whole new direction. Actually, it should ‘give’ a direction to the show now, since it never had one in the first place. This episode covers the last chapter of volume 4, and volume 5 sees the random cluster of events that is each episode turn into a random cluster of events WITH a minor continuing plot. I’m being serious when I say this is exciting. =D

We’re getting quite a few new faces introduced (as well as more to come in the next episode), though I can’t help but feel that the existing characters have not been developed enough. Characters like Wataru and Isumi are quite underdeveloped, as well as Hinagiku even though she appears quite often. On the up side, completing four volumes in 15 episodes (with skipping a lot of chapters) means a lot more of the manga that I haven’t read (not scanlated) will be covered over the remaining 30+ episodes. Hmm, I wonder if they’ll animate the volume 4 extra where Hayate somehow goes back in time and meets a younger and super cute Nagi…
