Impressions:

Well, I can’t say the comedy is exceptional or the quality is consistently high, but it doesn’t change how I love this episode. It probably doesn’t deserve such a high rating, but whatever. Katsura’s orz-like demeanor, Nagi looking so cute over the love misunderstanding, Maria in the moonlight (and blushing), as well as plenty of Hinagiku makes this episode win (purely in my opinion ^^;;). Also, the way Klaus is ‘coincidentally’ in a happy mood and can not help but praise Hayate so to make Katsura feel even more like crap is hilarious. In fact, for an old fart, Klaus is actually an awesome character! (Lol at young Klaus from last episode xD).

The new ED was a surprise, since I never saw it in ANN (and from now as I am writing this, the episode in which the new ED is meant to first appear is still not shown). The song is pretty nice to listen to, being pretty fast and suits the animation well. The same goes for the first ED in its suitability respect, though overall I like the first ED better. Aside from the song though, I think it comes down to whether you prefer seeing all the girls sleeping (which I believe is pretty cute), or the girls having fun at the beach (obviously in bikinis). Now they really need to change the OP…(yeah, I don’t like it).

This episode uses only one manga chapter as it has done before, though I wish it would increase the pacing somewhat as opposed to skipping heaps of chapters altogether. Being a year-long series (52 episodes), this really wouldn’t be a problem, as I’m pretty sure there’s still a lot to animate from the first 4 volumes (heh, this episode is from the 4th volume—they’ve been jumping around a lot haven’t they), though it’s pretty apparent that certain episodes are simply a lot more energetic and fast paced than others. The last episode could have easily covered this episode as well. Anyway, a new butler will be introduced next episode! (hehe things are getting interesting…)
