I wanted to check out the anime when I first heard it; but after seeing those captures; I must agree with you: the animation IS crappy. I mean honestly, I'm in no position to judge since I haven't even seen the first episode, but I've seen amateurs do a better job w/ a flash animation. I've made a couple in my day... And maybe it's just me, but the character designs are just, for lack of a better word: bad. Again, this is just my initial impression at first glance; but if the content is only about the mindblowing 2 and a half minutes like you say, the chances of me checking out this anime are probably zilch.
