They stole data on the GN drives and created 2nd rate imitation GN Drives used in the Trinity mobile suits and then sold 50 - 2nd Rate GN drives to the UN. Corner is the one who created the Trinity siblings. So in doing so he was not worried about whether their training turned them psychotic. He knew he would dispose of them when they served their purpose. They may have been genetically altered in a reckless manner, or like I said before raised without being taught right from wrong. Nena is evil and a villain because she was raised to do one thing, pilot one of the Trinity mobile suits. She was not taught morality, she never learned to empathize with others. She was taught to mercilessly crush anything and anyone that gets in her way. I would like to see her die for what she did, but I can also she her running to the Gundam Meisters. It would be interesting to see if she can change, learn to be human. Look what Setsuna did as a child, he killed his own parents. Nena is nothing more that a young child emotionally. Being raised in isolation with her two brothers and spending her entire childhood training has left her with immature emotionally. Don't be surprised if we see Setsuna take Nena in and he is the one who teachers her how to be human in the 2nd season. And my personal hopes as i love the crazy as heck side to her.
