Impressions:

I’m reluctant to blog this show due to the undetermined episode count, but the first episode, and my initial expectations, are enough for me to get a start on it at least. This first episode is highly explosive, and already multiple characters have begun development. It reminds me a lot of Gurren Lagann, which has a similar beginning, but Dragonaut seems to be more science-fiction—which is a good thing for me. Overall quality is great, while story execution draws viewers in quickly. The sudden deaths of Jin is quite surprising, but a good example of an attention-grabbing first episode.

Comparing Dragonaut to Gurren Lagann is like comparing D-War to Stardust: one is a generic, poorly done piece of dreck that is fun if you go into it with the mindset of making fun of it, while the other is a clever take on a genre that has been fairly stale as of late and the tropes it does use it uses RIGHT.

As far as development goes, the only character who seems understandable and realistic in his growth is Jin. Every other character ranges from generic (the six side members of Dragonauts, specifically) to stupid (Kazuki, who I want to stab in the face repeatedly, even though I’m only three episodes in.)

Dragonaut is a show I’m watching for the narm (trying to be serious but comes off as funny) value. It doesn’t get better after the first episode in terms of making sense, but the idiotic characters and the character designs, especially the CGI dragons, sure are fun to make fun of.

seriously : whats up with the big boobs these day’s *_*

but ill go watch some more episode’s of this show, I already dropped 4 new anime’s : Rental magica / Blue drop / Myself yourself / Kimikiss pure rouge.
I don’t want to drop more, gotta keep myself busy .
