D.Gray-man: Episode 52

Impressions:
The new OP is pretty good IMO. Currently, I still like the old OP better, but that will probably change once I listen to this new one more. The animation shows a lot of new characters as well, (the character I want to see most is Fou, the girl who goes through the wall in the OP), not to mention some scenes of major battles that are pretty recent in the manga. That certainly looks very promising. I wonder if a certain General that everyone is looking for will appear in the next 25 episodes…If the pacing and percentage of fillers stays the same, I’d say definitely not. Maybe in 50 episodes time…
I don’t know about everyone else, but for me, this episode is noticeably a lot better than all the fillers that have aired. I’m sure though, that everyone who reads the manga realises that the print version is far superior to the anime. But when the anime is actually following the manga, it does get pretty good. This episode covers two and a half chapters of the manga (46-48). If this keeps up, the anime will catch up in around 3 seasons time…I wonder when the manga’s going to end—or perhaps it will be ongoing for an unknown amount of time like Bleach and Naruto. Hopefully it’s the latter—D.Gray-man has tons of potential.

I thought D.Gray-man was going to be done in 52 episodes. I’m surprised that it’s going to be 100+…I wasn’t expecting another BLEACH or NARUTO. I should start blogging it again xD
But I agree, the new season is so far incredibly fantastic. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s back on the manga (though I don’t read the manga xD) or what, but it’s amazing. You do get used to the new OP, but I still like the old ED better.
@whispered hope – this IS the manga material (from episode 52 onward) the manga PAWNZ the anime, trust me, i would recommend you reading that infact if you read manga. Because the anime fillers completley destroy the series intent. After episodes 52-56(just saw 56 raw) i can say that the studio can make greatest effort when they actually have manga material as a base, but the fillers..did reek.
Mm, I do read manga, but I’m more of a shoujo manga lover and a shounen anime lover xD I like to watch action, not read it. But if it’s that good I might read some in the bookstore sometime xD
And they had better try when doing manga material or they’re screwed.
manga is pure awesome ;D i really really like the ED, specially the FULL version, omg its so nice im really hooked on it. listen to it when i go home on the bus at least once ever since i got it XD

Can anyone tell me what episodes are fillers and what aren’t?
I’ve started watching the anime recently, and it started out pretty good, but now – I’m on Ep 31 – it is starting to suck … I hate fillers …
Just curious but how many episodes of D.Gray Man are there going to be? Ppl have told me that it was going to be 64 and most of the sites that I check somewhat confirm this since the list of episodes goes up to 64. However I’ve heard it’s going to be 65-66 or even more.
