D.Gray-man: Episode 41

Rating: 7.8/10
Impressions:
Well, luckily the enemy now is a Noah, but once again the story has diverged from the manga. How sad…Actually, judging by the events of the last episode, the anime hasn’t even passed volume 5. The last episode covered a few things from chapter 44, which goes to show how little the anime has progressed since the beginning of the fillers. Still, these episodes are a lot better than the initial fillers since they actually lead somewhere, and are based on important characters (not to say the initial fillers are bad or anything). It’s also a shame how Allen and Linali spent so many episodes alone with nothing happening…sigh.
Anyway, with Kanda getting the screen time that he apparently needed (as opposed to his two major appearances in the manga), the usual taskforce has regathered, and can hopefully conjure up some well needed fights which are actually large in scale. And unfortunately, I don’t think this Noah can do it for them. I really have no idea why they aren’t animating the awesome fight on the ship, which is meant to happen after the introduction of Tiedoll. And from the looks of the pacing at the moment, I would say that a finish at episode 52 would be very crap and incomplete indeed…

well do they have feelings for each other in the manga???
It’s heavily suggested that Lenalee has feelings for Allen in the manga.
