D.Gray-man: Episode 25

With my being absent from a computer for two weeks, and for the new series that I’m trying to catch up on, I’ve only recently realised how behind I am on D.Gray-man and Death Note, but I should be fine. There’s no risk of me dropping either show as well. The problem with leaving a show for a while is you often forget where you’re up to, as I accidentally watched half of episode 26 before realising 25 hadn’t been cleared. It seemed to be a bit random at first, not fitting with the rest of the story (though I was stoked about the new OP), but I was too lazy to check until sometime through the episode.
I can’t remember exactly, but I think this episode is mostly filler. I don’t remember there being a part of the manga where the General is actually still alive, and even meets Allen. I find it a bit disappointing that the episode portrays Allen to be just as strong as General Yeeger. I guess I had been comparing Generals to Bleach’s Captains too much. Either that, or the script writers screwed up pretty badly. It would be nice though, if the General is uber strong and owns the Akuma in a matter of seconds. It wouldn’t be impressive for long, but it would suggest the power gap between Allen and the real ‘higher powers’.

I don’t really know why I’m still watching this show. if I had known they will take different route than the manga, I don’t think I would have watched the show. I don’t see the reason why they are making the show like this. the anime is no way close to the manga. I’m really disappointed, and if I don’t see any manga plot soon I’m gonna drop D.Gray-man. it’s not fun for me to watch the show anymore. perhaps I have only realized it now, when I watched the new shows.
PS: what is your favorite new show?
arcanes, thats a really tough one. at the moment, probably lucky star or gigantic formula
