D.Gray-man: Episode 20

Impressions:
Like I said last time, I don’t know how far this episode goes into the manga, but from just watching these last few episodes, I feel that the Krory arc will end soon. However, the episode name list on ANN suggests otherwise (there may be some waiting to go). Apparently there’s quite a bit of censoring in this episode, though nothing big. I forgot to mention last time but Allen’s eye was conveniently injured again as it was meant to have remained unhealed from the first time it was damaged. You can blame the fillers for that. In other news, there seems to be a new OP for D.Gray-man…
The general episode nature of anime is that only the second half of the series is dedicated to the real story, while the first half is really just introduction and development. Surprisingly, with the addition of the fillers, this hefty 52 episode series seems to be following this convention pretty closely, with the main storyline coming up after this arc. It’s almost going so fast. I just hope that the manga ends soon, as it doesn’t look like the anime will stick with the manga plot the whole way. They’ll have to come up with their own ending if the manga doesn’t finish, which will be pretty uncertain.
