D.Gray-man: Episode 18

Impressions:
Random, stupid yet amusing Naruto-esque filler equals minimal screen caps and text. Yeap, this episode is way too much over the top and completely pointless, which does not fit in with the story at all, though is actually very amusing and perhaps more enjoyable for the past fillers for people who disliked them. With all the destruction, Gundam-like Komrin and whacked up Akuma, this episode is the closest thing to bullshit I’ve seen. But remember, not all bullshit is bad! xD So in the end, I liked this episode, but because it’s amusing. I treated this episode as a stand alone, perhaps even an OAV, since it just doesn’t not go with the rest of the anime at all.
A filler like this is more natural for Naruto, where the overall mood of the show is rather light. However, D.Gray-man is meant to be darker than your average shounen, with a few jokes and such, but nothing over the top. Most of the good stuff is its plot, which thankfully will be returning next episode. The next arc begins the final obvious arc, before getting into the main storyline where all the events overlap each other, and there are little apparent arcs. Next episode will feature Allen and Lavi in their first manga-mission together. Lavi is not meant to be introduced until just before this arc, but that doesn’t happen so oh well…

I can’t believe someone liked this episode xD Maybe I’m too used to NARUTO (or to much of a Narutard), but I found this filler absolutely horrible, even worse than NARUTO’s fillers xDD
But yay for Gundam-esque Komrin III! I so gotta rewatch SEED/Destiny.
This show looks sooo cool. Can’t wait till it hits the states!!!
D.Gray-Man anime is so lame compared to the manga….
And speaking of Naruto…Shippuden is here!!!
i think this episode wasn’t so bad…they have to equal out the darkness…or else they’ll shift it to a later timeslot…and this episode was kind of funny
