I was so excited back when I read thar L was gonna be voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi, and so far it sounds great, as I expected it would. I look forward seeing more of him! In the manga, I always rooted for Raito when it came down to the case, but I can’t really pick a favourite, characterwise. L is the more interesting guy, but Raito’s.. I dunno, I just think they complement each other so well, none of them is really that interesting without the other. I just love their little “games” in outwitting the other ;P I remember a friend of mine reading volume one, and she asked me why Raito didn’t just hide the Death Note behind some books in the bookshelf or something. It was difficuly to explain how we’re talking about a completely different level of intelligence here ^__~

It is just so cool to see someone on Light’s side xD From what people have been saying and telling me, I feel like I’m gonna flop and root for L in the end, but it’s nice to see someone who knows Light and is still on his side. It’s interesting how people who’re on L’s side want Light to die, for isn’t that mentality exactly why people hate Light to begin with? Because he kills criminals? I guess morals have exceptions, ne?

This is one anime that I wish was already done because I’m really enjoying it. It was impressive to see LIght thinking that he had all of the bases covered: the possiblity of killing his family without any remorse, that he knew the police would eventually investigate, he kills the guy that he thinks is a cop, etc, only to have something unexpected crop up in the form the real L. And the morality of his actions. For me, this adds up to some good viewing.
