Impressions:

Sorry for the delay, I had been waiting for Shinsen’s subs. I should be able to catch up pretty quickly though, as Darker than Black is pretty high on my priorities list. Anyway, this episode itself isn’t exactly bad, though I like this arc the least as it has little to do with any of the main characters. Hei’s appearance is well called for, though just action doesn’t exactly cut it. Mini stories should be confined to comedy and/or slice-of-life shows. Usually in a 24-26 season series, the first half is comprised mainly of similar short stories, though these usually amount to something larger, or introduce/develop characters. This hasn’t been the case for this show.

The story itself is pretty interesting. It can be a little disturbing with it centring on body odours and smelling, though the comedy and action duo usually makes everything enjoyable. Thankfully, the next episode seems to regard Misaki and her past. I’m looking forward to seeing this, which should be somewhat developing for her character. I’m still not sure as to what role she is meant to play in the show. The good thing about Darker than Black is that it is not a predictable shounen show with the usual protagonist and villain, with their respective allies, as well as additional parties to make things interesting. Hei might be the main character, though he’s definitely not a real ‘good guy’.

I actually kinda liked this arc. We got to learn about Mao. And I loved the new duo for the story, I really hope they come back.
Though I kinda doubt it……..

Personally I’m not all to sure about this show. They only seem to answer one of every seven questions they give us. And they like to give us lots of questions.

Darker than Black is a really cool anime. Although I found this episode to be a bit on the slow side, the cute secretary did more than made it up.
