First thought: this show looks very Gundam-y. I guess the mechas were modelled off the Gundam designs, and even the art is similar to Gundam Seed, though better. Well, that’s what I could discern from the 15 second trailer/promo/ad. I don’t really know what this show is about, except that obviously everyone is involved in some war…lol I’m excited already – been longing for a good mecha series since spring, so this better not disappoint!!

Not always, but they *have* had a few dismal failures, just hope this doesn’t end up becoming another GSD. Fingers crossed!

I have seen this anime and it is very good; I am on episode 23 right now. On the topic of Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny, Gundam Seed Destiny was freaking awesome! I don’t know where you watch your anime but GSD was freakin flawless in the continuation of GS. Anyways, back on topic. Code Geass reminds me a lot of Death Note in the way that the main character finds himself caught in his own actions and judgements that he can be evil. It’s really quite good, you should start watching it!

Gundam SEED Destiny had way too much of “my gundam is better than yours because it fires lasers the color of the rainbow” and “my gundam is gold, therefore lasers bounce off it.” Too much action with not a solid storyline.
On the main note, Code Geass has been one of the BEST anime I’ve seen in a while. The music is composed by the same guy that did s-CRY-ed and Gun x Sword; Kotaro Nakagawa, as well as the same art studio, CLAMP. The storyline exceeds expectations and keeps you guessing what will happen next. The characters are top-notch, as well, and develop into interesting roles towards the end. I can’t wait for the final episodes to be released this summer… >_
WTF? stop hating on gundam seed / destiny, especially if youve never seen it before
it has awesome storyline, characters and mecha action look it up on youtube theres like a million videos on it.
But anyways im tryin to download geass and see it for myself, from what i hear it sounds like a great mecha and storyline show, it looks like eureka seven kinda, but i just hope its better …
