Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion R2: Episode 6

Impressions:
It was a little disappointing seeing the tactic that Lelouch uses to escape Suzaku’s trap, as well as seeing the unbelievably sudden uber power up that the Guren receives. However, the overall quality of the episode more than makes up for minor things likes that. I like how Karen has been considered on par with those belonging to the Knight of Rounds (I’m not sure if that’s what it’s called), which basically means Zero does actually look like he stands a chance. The there’s Rolo, who I’m sure will make an excellent asset to the frontline with his Geass powers. But still, these things alone makes it hard to believe that Zero is actually going to accomplish his mission.

i laughed and cry at the same time when i saw Laksharta pull out the flying transformation stuff. 1. when did she make that? she was hiding in china right? she didn’t have some sort high advanced laboratory to develop sucha thing. 2. how come everything was prepared for a situation like this? did she assume the guren would be falling down, and actually managed to construct such an absurd sort of equipment. oh come on, a flying jet pack and a rocket that dock on a knightmare while it’s falling? this so coincidental it’s stupid. i was so eager to see the second season, but if they keep on doing unreasonable stuff it’s really gonna end in a disaster…

She might have her own lab there or some connections since she is Mr. Pudding’s teacher. The equipment thing, she might have planned it before, like in different kind of situation and such and she did made the manual in case of “this and that”

nope this episode was great Laksharta is always planning something thats her job i think that they could have shown it been worked on and then it ends up in the fight then it would have been better
arenu: Can’t say I agree. You could try to say the same thing about how she built the Guren in the first place, or the Gefjun disturber (sp?) and so forth. Honestly, the fact that the Knights were in China doesn’t mean they were playing checkers all day long or what have you. A year is a long time.
The use of the flying parts in this episode was, certainly, a big coincidence and a bit ridiculous, but all things considered, it’s not out of context nor that impossible.
all i pray is that this anime does not turn out like Deathnote…i stilll get mad thinking about how it ended
You have to realize that Code Geass is also part mecha. Mecha animes constantly have random, highly unlikely events occur that ruin everyones plan. Take Gundam 00 for example. I find it very hard to believe that Alejandro would trigger Trans-Am at the moment Sestuna was in trouble. Or Gundam Seed where the Archangel just happens to escape Artemis when its being blown up from the inside.
An anime of Code Geass’s makeup will always have its Mecha shining moments, and thats on of the main reasons it appeals to the more boom-boom “blow things up” crowd.
With all the tactical mind games, people forgot that this is a mecha. =)
