Code Geass - Lelouch of the Rebellion: Episode 20

Rating: 8.3/10

Impressions:

Well that was a disappointing episode, mainly because the ‘confession’ Euphemmia made to Suzaku made me look around the room to make sure no one was watching me watch such an embarrassing and badly scripted love situation. It was a total misfit, and surely made a lot of people go WTF; inserting such a corny conversation when Suzaku is cornered and about to die…what were the script-writers thinking?! And somehow, Suzaku and Lelouch managed to form a temporary truce, shortly after Lelouch discovered the pilot of the Lancelot and resolved to kill him…At least when Suzaku is working with Lelouch I don’t hate him as much…

It’s been a while since the last C.C. episode, and I’m getting curious again as to her entire background. Also, being my preferred female character in relevance to Lelouch, it would be nice to see another episode where the two are incorporated nicely into the same story again. Karen hasn’t exactly been the focus of anything either, and her role seems to be purely plot-based (she doesn’t exactly have a deep relationship with Lelouch does she). Shirley now also seems to be back in the main event, having found her self written letter and perhaps on the verge of remembering everything she has forgotten. That should be interesting as well.

I agree, the confession just seemed very random.

I think this “love bond” between Euphie and Suzaku just wasn’t developed well enough at all.

Episode was good but that “confession” was more of a letdown than anything else.

I hate Suzaku more than some of the random villans that anime typically throws our way. Is that what the writers wanted? I don’t know anymore.

Eeh, it was a little odd, but I liked the whole Suzaku x Euphie thing. It’s practically the only way I can stand the guy anymore xD

And though Karen and Lelouch aren’t going anywhere, Zero and Karen sure are. I can’t wait to see her reaction when she learns Lelouch is Zero.

I don’t like memory-wiped Shirley. The heck are those looks she’s giving Lelouch @_@

Is it just me who thought that Euphie and Suzaku are a cute couple? My favorite thing in this episode however, Is when Suzaku and Lelouch team up. They fight really well together, even their gunda–oops! “Knightmares” are awesome!

This whole thing has alot to do with knights. Knightmares, Order of the Black Knights, Lancelot & Gawain (names of famous knights)…what’s next? The Round Table Base?

Also, does anyone else think, that under that noble nice exterior called Prince Schenziel, is a manipulative psychopath who’s more evil than all his other siblings combined? That guy is just way to nice…

Damn I want to see this ep, GGs not too fast and I don’t have enough understanding of japanse to use RAWs lol despite it sounding like a let down I’m sure Euphie x Suzuka’s better then Darth Vader x Padme right?

Your-Mom has picked up on subbing Code Geass (I believe they started back during episode 18). I wouldn’t expect top knotch quality though, since it is a speed sub after all.

GG for archiving, Y-M if you absolutetly have to see the anime ASAP.

Four things you guys have all missed out about this episode:

1.) It’s not the strangeness of Euphie’s confession to Suzaku that was important but it was when Euphie yells, “LIVE ON” and his Geass begins to active (strange things there huh?)

2.) Suzaku and Lelouch working together and the media creates propaganda once again (Good, that shows dictatorship still remains).

3.) This brings personal positive relationships between Suzaku and Lelouch, how will their reaction be when they are both unmasked?

4.) Lelouch has been constantly contradicting himself. He wants Japan, but is attacking the Chinese. Later, he wants “his own country”. Later he makes an excuse saying Chinese are phony. Overall, he’s trying to wing everything his way. (Corrupt note)
