Apparently Kyoto has picked up another anime to do, and this one is CLANNAD. Like Air and Kanon, it is a Key game adaptation, and like Air, there is a movie by Toei. Frankly, I think Toei sucks in terms of animation, but that doesn’t have anything to do with this right now so forget it. Anyway, this will probably come after Lucky Star and Suzumiya Haruhi season 2, which will most likely be next year (2008). And as many people have mentioned, Air is ’summer’, Kanon is ‘winter’, while Clannad is ’spring’. If this had any accordance with Japan’s actual seasons (which Kanon does, as it aired in winter), Clannad will probably air some time around this time next year.
Anyway, I took the liberty of getting a few screenshots of the thirty second commercial, and by that I mean every scene (and managed to get about 15 shots in the first three seconds). Personally, I don’t think the quality will be as good as Kanon or Air, as the scenes in the preview are rather plain with little detail. Sure, the animation should still be superb, but it will be quite a let down if the art/background quality is lower (especially since the standard which Air, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu and Kanon set). But this is still in the future, there’s still Lucky Star to enjoy from next month, and Suzumiya Haruhi season 2 to start this autumn!
The cast, however, is seriously sweet! The seiyuus of the main cast are mostly skilled with heaps of experience. Here’s a quick breakdown:

Where have you found the information about Suzumiya 2, ’cause ANN and Wikipedia give no information about it, and clannad is scheduled for october 2007.
I even found something on ANN about a Hoax of season 2
well the hoax is like way old, and where did u find the info about clannad scheduled for october? dont say ANN, i want an official source…though there will be more info released on the 20th…we’ll see then. as for my info on haruhi…im not quite sure. i might just be imagining things, but i think i read about it online some time ago. if theres no such thing quickly tell me so i can get it out of my head x_x (pretty sure there was some news about it on a site…)

Oh, also Suzumiya Haruhi season two hasn’t been officially announced yet… so. I dunno where you guys are gettin’ ya facts from but it’s not going to be any time soon.
ah but the problem is, the source for the release date is still ANN, but I want to know where ANN got their info from. And actually, heres the info i found on Suzumiya HAruhi, though it might as well be fake if Clannad is starting in october. The info states that suzumiya haruhi season 2 was pushed earlier to this year, so if its not, then its probably still a 2008 product.

I might watch it but if it’s anything like KANON, then no. That show didn’t intrest me at all. Plus I’m not that big of a fan of huge eyes. On the other side the animation looks great and just from the preveiw. So I’ll try it at least for an epi or 2.
