Oh shit, the next episode is already out. Luckily it hasn’t been subbed yet. I think. Anyway, I have to say, if this really is the second last episode, the ending looks like it’s going to be crap. Honestly. Nagisa’s story seriously has nothing. It’s not very deep and has little substance compared to the usual stories of the other girls. And there’s no real climax anywhere, except maybe when Nagisa finds out about her parents, though that’s nothing big anyway. I can’t fathom what’s going to happen in the next episode, because in my mind, I’m seriously expecting something grand and spectacular. Doesn’t look like it’s going to happen from the way things are going now.

the last episode isnt the end that i thought it would be -.-
the movie was much better than the series i think but still i like both of them^^
Nagisa’s real route is probably more the after story (she’s fantastic in that) so ending with this part is so anti-climatic.
Well Nagisa’s after story is where all the substance is, but I think you’re being way to harsh lol. A good story doesn’t have to be all drills pierceing the heavens or some life/death struggle with astro projection or magical AIDS killing a girl with wings. Nagisa’s story was good in my eyes since I enjoyed the heartwarming family themes and the fun moments they had as well as all the character development. Just because it’s anime doesn’t mean everything has to be “BIG”.
Yeah I get what you mean about the no climax issue. Clannad kicks ass, but at the same time, I’m ready to see it end.

FlameStrike: im not saying anythng HAS to be one way or another, its just my personal preference tells me i dont like anti-climatic endings lol. its like the built the entire story aroung nagisa and everything, for nothing to happen in the end.

Just watched the movie, and well,it’s abit better than the anime’s ending but it’s still just below par.
I guess to really appreciate the story, you have to play the game. :/
Eh I wouldn’t call it better than the anime’s ending. That movie failed in so many ways and they did something unforgivable to Nagisa lol.
