Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora: Episodes 6 & 7

Rating: 8.5/10 & 8.9/10

Impressions:

Ok, so my mind still hasn’t fully adjusted to the plot style of this show, though at the moment it seems simple enough. Everything is on a really small scale, and the characters are quite shallow, though at least the show isn’t boring. I’m not saying this anime is a work of art, but it’s something I can sit through, laugh, enjoy etc. Speaking of laughter and enjoyment, Kuu’s attempt at bringing out her weapon was rather embarrassing, though disturbingly hilarious as well. And after that, her stripping was super hot. By the looks of it though, she was rejected! (How is that humanly possible? Lol) Anyway, hopefully something meaningful will happen next episode…

Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora: Episode 5

Rating: 8.6/10

Impressions:

Lol when did the sub for this come out? I totally missed it! Anyway, this episode is by far the most eventful, and we discover that Kuu is actually a Zettai Tenshi (Absolute Angel) as well, which is kinda obvious anyway! Still, the show is as funny as ever. The way Kuu reacts to when she succeeds in getting Kyoshiro to go shopping with her is just golden! Her overreactions are priceless. Also, another bath scene and more kissing woot! Lol how low can I get…But storywise anyway, a lot of stuff happens that I really can’t be bothered to comprehend. I guess this is just the nature of the show; being too open and simple…(I would write more but Naruto manga is calling me, need to finish reading it before Shippuden lol).

Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora: Episode 4

Rating: 8.4/10

Impressions:

Kyosora remains as entertaining as ever, with Kuu’s semi-nonsensical jabbering and exaggerated emotions. Well, she’s semi-nonsensical only to me because I tend to not take in whatever she says when she starts her sentences off with ‘Haikei, watashi no ouij-sama’. I dunno, somehow I still react to it if its funny, but a minute later if you ask me what she said, I’d be completely blank. Still, Kuu is amazingly cute with her little gestures and facial expressions, as well as her tendency to blurt out all her personal thoughts. She would be completely ridiculous in real life, but she’s awesome in this anime!

Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora: Episode 3

Rating: 8.4/10 (what can I say? I’m growing fond of this show)

Impressions:

I have to admit I have a strange lust for this show and its absurdity. Kuu is the only reason I watch this show, and she is one of the most outrageously naive and unbelievable character I’ve ever seen. This is not about her character design, which I adore anyway, but about her amazingly attractive personality. I love her ‘letters’ to her prince, what they contain are awesomely exaggerated thoughts on every little event or surrounding she can throw her gaze on. I mean, she has all these extremely deep emotional thoughts about Setsuna and Kyoshiro, envisioning them together and like a prince and princess, then to how Kyoshiro is mistreating Setsuna, and finally to her own romantic fantasies of being with Kyoshiro. They just don’t work together, yet she somehow find no trouble in squeezing these thoughts into her head. Shirukii compares her rants to Kyon’s, and I totally agree. This is just what makes Kuu the highlight of the show. I hope it keeps up and I’m looking forward to sitting back and laughing at some more randomness!

Kyoshiro to Towa no Sora: Episode 2

Rating: 8.1/10

Impressions:

I enjoyed this episode much more than the first. This episode is presented in a much more orderly fashion, without too much randomness and hectic plot advances. It’s a lot more calming, without too much happening at once, and is far easier to follow than the first episode, where I just did not get anything and what the hell was happening. Well, there’s also bath scene to start things off, which is severely out of place in my opinion. Just because they were dirty they had to wash immediately? What if they stepped in a puddle! Off to the baths again! And some time after, we get another naked girl in water, only this time it’s night and the water looks extremely cold (there’s no steam). They didn’t even give a reason for this lol. It’s probably to make her, Kaon, seem more elegant…dunno how that works but it’s an idea! Also, there’s an ‘onna no ko to onna no ko no kisu!’ Which means ‘girl and girl kiss’, which is described as ‘beautiful’ by Kuu, but obviously it’s just another piece of fanservice.

Impressions:

Well, I wasn’t overly impressed with this first episode, though it was quite fun to watch. I’m not sure I want to blog this show or not either. I would have preferred it to be a simple school life/shoujo/romance type, but after about 15 minutes its thrown in the most whacked up combination of genres, really. There’s a lot of mecha, fantasy and mahou shoujo, not to mention a flying horse, a supposed Prince-like figure who does not know the appropriate ways of treating a girl in public, a freaking loli neko vampire villain who has way too much hair, too much glittery junk and falling petals, a lead girl who doesn’t know she should replace her clothes if they are ever ripped off in public instead of running all the way to the roof before doing so, as well as a school which has a completely screwed up order of power (the teacher got owned by the student council or whatever they are). Wow, that’s some strange list, though I’m not exactly bashing this show. Firstly though, why the hell isn’t the flying horse a unicorn? Lol man that’s just not right! But otherwise, despite the horrendous and distasteful mixture of crazy notions, it’s an enjoyable watch, and that’s all that matters.
