Hmm, this new filler arc may not turn out to be as boring as I thought. For one, it involves Soul Society, which means there won’t be any more retarded monster battles like in the Bounto arc, which is part of why I don’t like it. But then again, there’s also the question of quality and script. If they turn out to be above average, I will be highly pleased. But hmm, it seems like the producers are going to merge these fillers in with the events at Hueco Mundo to lengthen them out…so perhaps we will still follow the manga storyline. But they’ll need to put Ichigo back to the real world soon, since it seems like he has a rather large role in all the new events that are to occur.
The new OP and ED are quite different to previous ones, due to the increased happy-go-lucky feel. Although I prefer the older, more ‘epic’ songs (the first OP is the most spunky…), these two new additions work well with the new fillers. It makes it seem like we’ve gone back to the ‘old’ Bleach, where Ichigo and Rukia are still living together. Of course, I’m also highly interested in all the inter-gotei 13 fighting, and a Renji vs Byakuya catches my eye especially. The toned down level of fighting, and Soul Society setting make the notions of Captains exciting once again, as recently, pitted against the Espada…well let’s just say it hasn’t been so good.

Watched the new OP and ED on Youtube.
By far the worst ones I’ve seen so far, none of the previous get even remotely close in terms of suckage. I know I can’t possibly expect anything great from a filler arc, but damn, even those in the Bounto arc were decent.

From what I can tell, this story may not be cannon at all since in the next episode it will be back in the real world (this might be another story that takes place between Bount and Arrancar arcs), the opening is decent, I like the song, but as for the ending I’m not too happy about it, also this episode was not great but the exposition is required, I have more hope for this arc than the Bount
omg im SO behind in this series, i seriously need to catch up. but i managed to see the new OP, i quite like it, not as good as the previous ones though. my fav shot is the one you have up, with them at the beach with rukia’s hair up =D!! love it. anyway… yes…. that’s pretty much all i wanted to comment on. that pic alone XD Lol! sry X3 … love rukia~~
I’m totally with Furuba on this one, if this filler arc means a set of beach/onsen episodes w/ rukia and gang then I’m totally down ^_^
this totaly suprised me, new opening wtf.. I was like, so they just ran away okkay… anyways this will be good I can see it already* ftw
I’m still wondering how the hell will they be able to take the main story back when the filler arc ends. I can’t see past that the anime will take another route from the manga, so the ending of the manga and the anime are completely different.
I didn’t dislike this episode, but still, my hopes of bleach anime are falling down, and pretty hard.
BTW, hongi, we are talking here about Bleach, not naruto, and I think the song Lie Lie Lie it’s pretty sticky and fun

Here’s a thought:
Why send in a squad to take care of the menos, when all they had to do was make a “seizing current” go through the tunnel and sweep up the menos instead? We saw how easy it was for the thing to bulldoze through the menos…
