Bleach: Episode 159

Rating: 7.6/10

Impressions:

Noitra mentions how he’s the strongest espada…but that’s not exactly true. He’s just expressing what he wishes to be, if I’m not mistaken. Overall, disregarding the comedy scenes, this episode is actually quite serious (I just love the scene with Inoue and Ulquiorra). Nnoitra’s display or strength, as well as Szayel, who manages to crush Renji’s bankai in an instant, both prove the might of the espada, which really gets me excited, as this is exactly how it felt when Ichigo and the others first came up against the Captains of Soul Society. The real battles start now, with the espadas appearing one by one.

I thought the episode was pretty amazing, just the humor scenes were a bit exaggerated. I liked the appearance from the new espada members. Kudos at Orihime, that was a hell of an act. :D

burnedalive: yeah…its about time we started thinking about what the fillers will be like. either that, or drop the show temporarily xD

Anonymous: inoue’s character had been really shallow lately, so it’s good she got this development

Shimon: i agree totally. inoue made it awesome, but the comedy just ruins it all

fatallightning: let’s hope if it can keep up then =]

That whole conversation with Inoue and Ulquiorra is the best thing about the episode, imo. The rest of the episode was awesome, too, but that scene wins.

    Dondochakka is a bit annoying.

Goddamnit, author, stop nearly spoiling shit/constantly giving transparent hints on future story development. Just because we who read the manga can enjoy the suspense of not knowing what comes next doesn’t mean those who only watch the anime can’t. I’m not saying you shouldn’t occasionally make an implication/remark about something, but going all “Aw well just so you know Nnoitra isn’t Primera you may already cross that option” is just fucking jackassry. I know it’s fun, just keep your mouth more in check, okay?

Anon, I’m sorry if I’ve spoiled you, I will try not to do it again, but I felt that this information is what’s meant to be available at this time. I think the anime just screwed the line up. I might be wrong but that’s what I thought at the time anyway.
