Bleach: Episode 157

Impressions:
This episode isn’t quite so bad, but it annoys me personally since I really don’t like either of the two heroes in this episode (Ishida and Chad). Their weapons are far too unrealistic in this world of swords and death gods, while they’re also just way too weak to stand up to the real espadas. One singular hero that stands out above the rest is really the only thing I like in these kinds of animes, so creating taskforces with weak small fries such as an over-used vice captain and arrancar that are supposed to be funny but aren’t. I do approve of Nell though, since she’s an ideal female addition to the cast (or WILL be once she actually ‘appears’).

Eventhough I also dislike Ishida and Chad, I thought this episode was pretty entertaining actually. OK, I didn’t have high expectations considering the previous Ishida eps. Lame, lame, lame…
Will be the first time in months (years?) I’m actually looking forward to seeing Chad get some screen time.
Couldn’t agree more for the over-used, weak VC… We’ve seen way too much of Renji. And the same goes for Itsugaya and co…
I’ve read most of your Bleach blog and I agree with most of your critique and i find it always constructive and well thought. Really good job I really appreciate.
That said, I think this episode was disapointing , very much filler like, concentrating and delaying Ishida’s and Chad’s fights for 20 minutes.
Bleach… I thought the fillers were still going…
Anyway – isn’t it time to change your banner? Since it’s already 2008?

well, i only keep watching the anime… because i really like bleach! u_ú! but the anime version has been pretty bad in the past months…
however, this part of the story did seem very good in the manga when i read it! but the anime is so bad right now, that it even kills the exciting moments!! in my opinion, the privaron espadas arent that bad, its just that, now tha we know the espadas and their powers, we dont find the privarons so exciting x_x…. heheehehe!!! i guess!

Sunohara!: yeah things always seem good in the manga, but the animation studios always stuff the anime up, which is why we see it fluctuating all the time

thou some episode truly suck still bleach is my favorite anime i hope they try to make it good again. anyway i like chad fighing that disco idiot this episode was a bit entertaing
