Bleach: Episode 151

Impressions:
Is it just me, or is Bleach just not as good as it used to be? The lack of seriousness in the show is highly frustrating, as at this point in the arc, everything should weighty and not comical. Along with that, the concepts are becoming increasingly outrageous. Now we have an arrancar that shoots wind from random holes in his body? Bleach initially takes only the concept of swords, and people who wield them to defeat demons. But even when the fancy stuff comes along in later episodes, nothing is too extreme. Super-high reiatsu is cool, thousands of miniature blades are cooler.
But after the good stuff, the Bounto come, which throws the initial concept of blades and demons completely out the window, and replaces it with a retarded version of Pokemon. I have to say that even now, in the manga, it’s not looking too good. The ideas are becoming far too far-fetched. This is the problem with extended shounen series, as eventually, all the fights are going to look the same unless some major changes are made. Well anyway, I don’t mean to bash the show this much. This episode itself is okay, though my reminiscing about the old Bleach sort of made it crap…

I don’t really have a problem with the comedy as long as it isn’t used out of place. It is appropriate with characters like Dordonii but definitely wouldn’t work with others like Ulquiorra, Grimmjow, or the rest of the Espada. It’s all serious with those guys.
i understand what you are talking about. i liked bleach a lot when it was just the shinigami, but even then, there were some huge bankais.
for the arrancar, at least for the manga, even if some of the releases are huge, the battles are still made with strategy. i dont think its looking bad right now.
as long as the anime does the important episodes as good as they did the ones when the arrancar went to the real worls, theres no problem for me.
the only thing I wish was better in the manga, and I’ll be comparing to naruto, is that naruto as built an incredible story and character relation. and its been so awesome because everything is comming together now, and the fact that some character are finaly meeting, and its something you were waiting and wondering about for so long. add in the cool way of presenting things that the naruto manga does so well, it really makes it good
Bleach lost its coolness and thunder when the Bount came. THEN it started to go downhill. i believe it’ll be an anime only ending
I agree about bleach not being as cool, but i have hope. And hope is simultaneously the source of our greatest strength and our greatest weakness.

The anime was awesome til de soul society arc ended! seriously!! But then the filler came, and even after it returned to the original story, the anime havnt do it very well… its not the same!!
But the Manga, Bleach manga is anooother thing!! Thats what i call GOOD! and in my opinion the manga have never doned something reaaally baad! its just awesome and i love it! i beleive in the manga, not so much in the anime! LOL XD!

We, manga readers, know that the stuff is like this, but then the good stuff, the really gooooood stuff is getting nearer as the time passes on, bear with this episodes for a little while, cuz i’m having a pretty good feeling that the upcoming episodes ‘ll have a really fat budget
I Believe Bleach will get better once Ichi fights Grimmjow. Then it might possibly dive down again. After Hueco Mundo expect a Filler arc
I had thought Ichigo’s fight with grimjaww would be like his fight with byakuya, but i guess he’s gonna go all the way, eh?

Lets hope the fights aren’t as yawn-inducing from this conflict onwards.
