Bleach: Episode 147

Impressions:
Wow, this episode is actually pretty good for a filler. With the exception of some badly drawn frames, this episode presents us with some decent quality filler material with a fairly interesting plot. We get the mix of filler comedy as well, which isn’t that bad as this time, instead of a standalone method of entertainment, it actually complements the other interesting stuff going on at the same time. We get Ichigo and co. getting gang banged, alongside Rukia and her mysterious captor (who seems to bear no ill intentions, and is probably only fighting her for some obvious shounen-show reason like testing her worthiness), as well as the sinister-looking arrancar elsewhere.
Being a filler arc, the new arrancar can’t be as powerful as the espada, though they might be the yet-to-be-introduced 3-digit arrancars. Burt regardless of what they are, their introduction suggests that they will put up quite a fight against Ichigo and the others (remember, manga readers, Ichigo wouldn’t have gotten far without his hollow side, and right now, he’s pretty weak). I can imagine the group disbanding or something at the end of the arc, perhaps to return at a later filler arc to fill more time. The filler arc will have a few more episodes to go, and hopefully it will return to manga-material within the upcoming month.

the thing that always strikes me with bleach fillers, is that without reading the manga, the fillers seem like just extended plot.
if you watch naruto or anything else so commercial, the fillers are always obviously fillers, themes changing from one ep to the next.
or maybe i was the only one to aprreciate (sp?) previous fillers.
still this episode is intense, asnd it seems to be building an incredible arc,
time will tell….
yeah i agree this filler episode is interesting,this arc proves promising for a filler.
the explanation for hollows living underneath the surface sounds like canon(it’s not in the manga right?unless my memory is that bad.),since its pretty logical.
hope the next episode doesnt disappoint us.

I agree about bleach fillers, they do a pretty good job blending it in compared to other anime.
Some of the animation made me lol, but overall ths story was definitely not too shabby for filler episodes.
Sweet. This is actually Plot Related filler (kinda). There are things to be accomplished and battles to be fought! Kinda like the Bounto ^.^
i heard that the next 4 episodes would be fillers…ahh..after they are finished with a filler arc previously, their again into one, and seems that it would slow the pace of the anime coping up with the manga,, maybe, we will see the “three digit one’s” into action next next month..and another next year maybe when ichigo will actually fight the sixth one or when the intrusion will occur…..sighs..
Let’s see how well is fillers in Hueco Mundo.

PS: I have a feeling the captor of Rukia has something gotta do with arrancars. As in his movements and powers.
I haven’t read the manga, so I thought that this was actually a part of the main plot. Too bad it isn’t, that silent dude was kinda cool(I expect that he’ll “disappear” once the fillers are finished). But I liked the episode regardless, as it was the best since Orihime ran off, and it’s the best filler I’ve seen in any anime(hope the rest of the arc is this good).
I don’t think the animation was so bad. You all probably got more experience(or whatever) than me on that matter, but mostly, I think it was fairly detailed(espesially with Rukia and Ashido), and(one of the most important things as I see it) their facial expressions never made me wonder what emotion they was trying to express.
Probably enjoyed this more than I should have.
Then again, excess of Rukia means they got me in my weak spot.

At least they are following manga now, a bit of fillers are okay sometimes.
You guys amaze me, i didn’t come to like this filler. A Shinigami on hueco mundo? It will be pretty interesting hearing his background, but still, i came to foun it pretty stupid for one to be there.
Also, I thought Rukia would be able to at least take a couple of Menos over here, I mean, isn’t Rukia in a ViceCaptain level?, still they made her look pretty weak for my taste. I’d just love to see Rukia on a full power action scene

CJLopez, no Rukia is not at a vice-captain level. She is a normal ranked officer.
Danny, she is a normal ranked officer, but they actually explained before that she never turned into a vice-captain because byakuya prohibited everyone to let her be it… ^^U He didnt want her to face the missions that a vice-captain is supposed to, fearing to lose her and broke his promise with rukia`s sister! Thats all i can remember, I dont think this came from nowhere… but maybe i was just dreaming! lol! noo… i think kubo explained that in the manga, really!

It’s a pitty that this episode is a filler, because I hoped that they would continue with the arc, but I thought the filler wasn’t that bad, infact I thought it was hilarious ^^
Ask Rukia go learn Bankai lah!!
