Bleach: Episode 130

Sorry for the delay again, my capped internet prevented me from getting this episode quickly. Due to this, it will probably be the same for the next episode. Speaking of which, episode 131 looks like it will be pretty mediocre quality (and also the last episode of this mini arc). However, it still doesn’t look like the fillers will be ending. Is this going to turn out something like the current D.Gray-man? I sure hope not. Episode 132 should also see a new ending theme (doesn’t seem like long since that last ED change, does it?) Anyway if you’re wondering why I no longer have any pictures from the manga, it’s because these episodes are anime-original.
Anyway, I figured there’d be something going on with Yui, though I don’t like how the fact that she and Shouta have high reiatsus are just thrown in your face. It’s different with Ichigo, since the main character is always an exception (though it would be nice if he had an explanation as well—and no, his dad being a shinigami isn’t one of them). I don’t exactly see how everything is going to be resolved happily in the next episode, unless Yui’s soul somehow manages to resurrect from the arrancar or something. Whatever happens, she and Shouta would have to go to Soul Society anyway.
I’m disappointed that once again, everyone seems to be underpowered in fillers. Toushiro, a captain, can’t sense the reiatsu of the arrancar? Rangiku can’t shunpo to Shouta as he is being attracted by Yui’s melody? Meanwhile, Shouta’s human-level of reiatsu is enough to support Yui (the arrancar) in escaping the barrier? Yes, all of these have reasons, whether they are for the sake of letting the story flow, or to allow Shouta to bring Yui to her senses by himself as a brother etc. Speaking of these sorts of things, did the producers screw up or does Yui just like sleeping with the lights turned on?

How do you know that isshin being a shinigami doesn’t contribute to ichigo’s high reiatsu? No one has said otherwise or denied it. Other then that good post.
Ah, I didn’t realize this arc was a filler! Ah, I haven’t watched this episode, either xD But I knew Yui was suspcious!
At one Time, I came to though that Bleach was far greater than Naruto, becuz of the 2 years of fillers, but then again, Naruto: Shippuden Arrived, Bleach ended his bounto filler arc as well, and Bleach is falling hard as a rock, filler mat got in the Arrancar arc, and now we have a couple of fillers bcuz the anime was reaching the manga way too fast, Bleach is falling now, while Naruto keep on fighting to be on top aside One Piece
Inuhanyou: the reason i say that is because that is one of the possible factors which I already know, so I don’t want people repeating it. Also, since you become a shinigami after death, Isshin being a shinigami wouldn’t cause Ichigo’s reiatsu. Actually though, I really have no idea about Isshin, since he should be dead right? Does that mean he died after he and his wife had their three children? Or did they have them after they died (if thats possible, what does that make Ichigo?) Or perhaps Isshin is actually alive and became a shinigami like ichigo (or did Ichigo technically die when he became a shinigami?) I really have no idea, but Inuhanyou, you bring up a good point.
Whispered.Hope: I guess it does fit well enough into the arrancar arc for it to not be suspicious…and the quality is holding up (though i dont know about next episode)
CJLopez: I personally like Bleach a lot better–Naruto’s pace is far too slow, and I never really liked the storyline or characters that much.
New ED for Bleach? About time; the current ED is the worst in this series so far…

Well, it said that if an Arrancar takes a human form, captains won’t be able to sense their reiatsu. Thus, an Arrancar nearly killed Toushiro.
But I guess you are right, seems kind of odd. Lol.

I love bleach! I don’t mind the fillers too much, but I’m glad this mini arc is over.
Sorry to lower your spirits but it seems that the next few episodes are also corroborated fillers. I don’t know about you but I think it’d be better if the animators put Bleach on hiatus if it is about to progress ahead of the manga. By doing that, they would be able to improve the animation and drawings for the prospective episodes. I mean, look at the first episodes in the series; In my opinion, they were incredibly well-done in terms of visuals especially with the surreal appearance that signifies that the characters are in another realm.
I’d much rather the Bleach episode line-up remain pristine and without extraneous sections as it’s not like I’m going to view the Bounto episodes more than once. The heinous drawings so prevalent in the filler episodes serve as a testament that not even the animators care. If they were actually zealous supporters of the superfluous episodes, they would put more effort to improve the drawings and make the fillers more enjoyable to view.
Novalon, you’re thinking exactly like me. Unfortunately, the targeted audience in Japan (im guessing fairly young boys, primary/middle etc) dont really care about fillers. And for those who do, they simply read the manga (or at least those who I know only read the manga for Bleach and Naruto etc). Because of this, the producers don’t need to worry much about losing viewers, which ends up being our loss. Sad fact…
Good post. I agree that I prefer Bleach’s pace to Naruto’s as of now. I do like, actually LOVE Naruto, the pacing is killing me. It’s sooooo slooow! It took Gaara almost 4 months to die and it only took a couple of manga chapters to cover that. I know they are doing it to keep the manga further ahead of the anime; but still, it sucks.
As for the arc, I too was baffled at how weak characters of such strength and experience become during certain story arcs, be they fill or simply plot driven it’s kind of hard to swallow. Like on Buffy when she fights a demon that can throw her through a wall and she gets up and keeps fighting, but can be knocked out with a simple slap in another episode.
I am far certain now that I would rather watch a filler arc that entertains me than have plot point of the actual show stretched well past the limits of it’s entertainment value any day.
As for the show going on hiatus, that would be a lot of money lost. They make a ton per episode. No episodes, no money. It’s simple business. I wouldn’t mind it, but it’s not my wallet that’s being filled with the almost year round broadcasts that Naruto and Bleach both experience. (If only Aria the Natural went on this long *sigh*)
